Returning for the second time, my affection for Sham Vegan Kitchen has only deepened. The service is always on point I've never had my drink empty for longer than a minute. The culinary experience was extraordinary ; the Chicken Tandoori, Chicken Tikka Masala, Aloo Gobi, and Saag Paneer were exceptionally flavorful. The ambiance exudes a delightful vibe, and the owner's genuine concern for our enjoyment added a personal touch. Remarkably reasonable prices for an Indian spot. A definite must-visit for any discerning Indian food lover!

This place is a sham. I confirm what other reviewers wrote, it's not all vegan, in fact it's not even mostly vegan, and the name Sham Vegan Kitchen doesn't appear anywhere in the restaurant, on the menu or on the sign outside; it only appears on the website.I was seated, and thought I would stay anyway when I found out through an awkward exchange that it wasn't a vegan restaurant. I ordered from the vegan part of the menu. The person taking my order kept making jokes that weren't funny like "the water is vegan." I don't think he was mocking me, but I dont really know.As I waited for my food I noticed how unsettled, confused and uncomfortable I felt. Do I really want to drop $30 on dinner here, I wondered... I didn't so I just got up and left before my food came without telling anyone I was leaving; I had never done thar before anywhere. But I don't owe them the courtesy of an explaination. All I had was the vegan water so I didn't even leave a tip. I felt deceived. Don't eat here.

This place is NOT vegan. Name of the restaurant is a bit misleading when you want to go to fully vegan place, struggling to find parking and when you get there to only realize they serve meat and seafood. Even though they have vegan options- food is not worth it either, it was bland and underwhelming.

Not a vegan restaurant. For the lunch combo, you will be upcharged $2 for vegan bread, despite it and naan being the same price. Sub-par to average food. The yellow dal tasted like chili and asofoetida predominantly -- I only ate it because I needed calories. The samosa and chana were decentOverall I would not recommend it nor come back. I paid $15 (before tip) for what I consider a small amount of food. At namaste spiceland in Pasadena, for example, you will pay $8 for 2.5 times the food and at a much higher qualityIf it weren't for the price and the mis-advertisement I would give it 3 stars. The cost and quality cannot justify any more than that

This was my first time having Sham Vegan Kitchen. Aside from their speedy time it took to make my food, it was also super delicious. It hit every expectation, and then some. At one point while eating my meal, I considered going for round 2 to take home for dinner. That's how good it was.

A beautiful space on the second floor! Sham (the owner) has a really personal touch and excellent food sense. Don't miss out on the garbanzo beans!

Indian spot located on the 2nd level off of Wilshire. When I typed the name in, Google maps took me to the one on Westwood, so make sure you’re putting in the right address if you’re intending to go here. Very limited street parking. Credit cards accepted. They do take reservations but when we went on a Thursday evening at 8pm, it wasn’t necessary. Masks required and they do check proof of vaccination, although they wanted a picture of the card and didn’t accept my digital CA QR code. Food is family style; the tandoori mix grill was a good way to get a variety of meats/seafood. The butter chicken was tasty. The peas pulao was a good complement to that sauce, though I preferred the garlic naan. They do serve alcohol. It’s good for big groups and they had a TV playing music videos inside. They were open fairly late on a weeknight, so it’s a good spot to get some food if you’re in the Brentwood area and get hungry, but don’t have a reservation anywhere.

Visited Sham Vegan Kitchen/India's Oven, and really happy with the whole experience! Clean and modernized restaurant, service was top notch (felt like a 4-5 star restaurant when the staff wiped the plates off before placing them), food came out fairly quickly, and most importantly, it was delicious! We chose some vegan options and it felt light and refreshing - we ended up with a lot of extra food! If you get the opportunity, meeting the owner, Sham! You can tell he genuinely cares and it's shown through his smile and personality! A must try in West LA!

First time here. Lovely staff and great food! The food was delicious! It says it’s a vegan restaurant but it’s not, it has vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. I went here with my mother on an early Sunday evening. My mom ordered the chicken dish. I order the peas rice, okra, and garlic naan for the table. As a plant based eater, I ordered the vegetarian kafta. Woah. The okra is soooo good. The rice was fresh. The naan was perfect. The bread not too thick and not too crunchy. Just a perfectly cooked naan. I highly recommend this place. A nice more upscale but relaxed atmosphere/ambience.
