We ordered koobideh and were very disappointed with the meal. The cook had completely messed up the recipe. Too much turmeric and too much onion in the kabob. Rice portion was small. We also tried tahdig with gheymeh and ghormehsabzi. Gheymeh was very good but ghormehsabzi was poorly made. Over all I do not recommend this place for those that are used to authentic persian food.

I ordered Kabob and it was absolutely horrible. The worst Kabob I've ever had. The gheimeh that came with Tahdig was amazing though. Ghormeh sabzi was also inauthentic and poor quality. My son had their pizza and was very happy with it. For someone who is craving for authentic quality Persian food, please save your money and appetite. The service was amazing though! As for parking, there was a paid parking Right across. $12 per day.

ust dined at Shekarchi in downtown LA, and it’s safe to say it’s the best Persian restaurant in Southern California. The cuisine is of unmatched quality and deliciousness, blending authentic Persian flavors seamlessly. The Koobideh and Shishlik come highly recommended for those looking to indulge in the true essence of Persian culinary excellence. The atmosphere of Shekarchi sets it apart, offering a romantic vibe with an American twist, making it the perfect introduction for non-Persians keen on experiencing Middle Eastern food for the first time in an inviting, familiar environment. Shekarchi is undeniably a must-visit for a memorable culinary journey.

We enjoyed the food and greeting. Our server offered us a better combination of plates to taste beef, lamb and chicken. The meat was so tender and savory.Dietary restrictions: Halal food

No parking available and had to pay for the public parking .The food was ok but the female server was not attentive at all and was not in mood. Went through whole meal and I just saw her once. Couldn't order more drinks and decided to skip the dessert . The owner of this place will lose money by providing this type of service. this was my first and last time eating here.

Beautiful restaurant setting with spacious tables both round and booth. A medium sized menu consisting of specialties and even a pizza menu. I ordered the koobideh with rice and my partner ordered the dark meat chicken kabob with salad. You’ll have to ask for the garlic sauce if you want it with your dish. They offer free wrap type bread with cold butter. The butter is also for the rice. I wasn’t really a fan of the koobideh, although the meat was very soft and flavourful. The chicken kabob was also a Persian type which is different from the Turkish chicken kabob. The rice was very fluffy and even better when you melt the cold butter and mix it in. The only problem was the refilling of our water by our server. They didn’t really go out of their way to refill and we had to specifically request for it.
