A true hidden gem tucked inside a small plaza. I first heard about this place from a good friend and colleague who shared that this was the very first restaurant he took his wife to on a date many years ago. He talked about its history, its tradition, and the warmth of this family run spot. So, like a good friend, I brought my own wife here to share that same experience, and it instantly made sense. Great food, genuine hospitality, and a place that feels like part of your own story. To top it off, the power went out at the end of our meal, and the staff couldn't have been more gracious. They kept everything lighthearted, and we ended up enjoying our panna cotta in the dark, laughing with everyone around us. It made the evening even more memorable in the best way.

The food was AMAZING!! It was very loud. So not really for a quiet dinner date if that's your plan. The service was ok. But we will be back for sure. One of the best sushi I had.

We used to come here all The time. Just went back and realized why we stopped coming. The noise level is unbearable. Tables are about 12” apart. Fish quality is great. But we orders a SHU roll that came w 6 pices. A rainbow roll that was half covered w avocado Service was slow. For a full house u need more staff. Waitress was doing her best but she had too many tables while running food herself and taking orders etc Hope they mage some improvements

Hands down the best sushi/sashimi I've ever had. The Scottish salmon truffle sashimi is my favorite!

Everything was great but there was an interesting carpet smell or something that wasn't pleasant.

Sushi was delicious! My favorite spot in LA. The server was so kind and attentive and even had an off menu sashimi dish made which was my favorite of the night. Love this place

Always one of our favorite restaurants. The food and the service were impeccable. The management is always very welcoming and very nice. We had a great birthday celebration.

Fantastic experience. I was able to get a seat on a Saturday night on a whim. Best decision ever. Everything was delightful, but the Japanese eggplant and Chilean Seabass roll were stellar. The eggplant was perfectly cooked with slightly crisp outer skin that melts in your mouth. The Seabass is how I ended the meal and it was absolutely worth every buttery morsel. The scallops are of course fresh not previously frozen, and they were prepared perfectly. The Scottish salmon sashimi sprinkled with truffle was delectable. To top it all off the service was superb. It helped that I happen to sit next to a few regulars who recommended some of the dishes. Everyone was friendly and very attentive, even though the restaurant was packed. A new favorite.

had dinner for two before a show at Vibrato next door, sushi menu was extensive, comparably priced compared to others nearby (Katsuya, Kiwami, etc). sushi was fresh, tasty, and sake list was plentiful (they even had my favorite kikusui).
Service was fast, attentive, and friendly. Highly recommend for a date night away from the usual spots on Ventura or the other side of the hill!

Number one or shearing first place with Nobu Malibu for the best sushi spots in LA! Service is impeccable--just the right amount of attention and responsiveness. The place is packed with beautiful people and noisy Uni spaghetti topped with Osetra Caviar & Shiro Ebi a must Halibut black truffle carpaccio a must Shiro Ebi, topped with Ostera Caviar 5+ Burie, ( Yellowtail belly) from Japan 5+

Opentable Diner

The place was very congested and very noisy. You cannot hear yourself speak the service was slow, and only one person was serving, therefore was very impatient in the rude for the money that they charge. The food was not worth it.
