Overall I am a fan of Sidecar. They offer mostly cake donuts and some raised donuts. Usually they have a sample which I enjoy but this past time there weren't any :( But right now I'm not in a rush to go back because the lemon pound cake is gone. I can understand changing the menu, but all the other regular donuts are still there - why not make more changes than just one donut, if you must make changes? why punish only the lemon fans? Anyway, maybe if you go there not knowing that lemon existed you'll be okay, but it is disappointing to me and I looked forward to going to Sidecar for months since the last time I was in the area.

Little place with the best doughnuts in LA, I love that the doughnuts are classic and you can taste every ingredient. I always order the huckleberry that has a fruity flavor mixed with dough and sweetness, the old fashioned that can never go wrong and the butter and salt that has an odd but delicious taste.
There is only outdoor sitting and it’s nice.

Took only one doughnut to try, unfortunately mine was dry from the outside and wasn’t fully ready from the inside...
The floor inside and out was dirty and the macchiato was the wrong ratio between the espresso and milk. Not sure if they upholding their name.

We happened to be within the area over the weekend so we opted to preorder a half dozen ($29) to try their popular Dubai Chocolate doughnut.
Ordered 4 Dubai Chocolate ($6.5/ea) and 2 Saigon Cinnamon. I personally wasn't a fan of the Dubai chocolate one due to my preference of how I like my pistachio. Found out I'm not big on pistachios as a cream filling. I thought it was way overwhelming in flavor and made the dessert not very enjoyable. But their Saigon Cinnamon was delicious! It wasn't too sweet and the cinnamon spice was 🤌🏻✨. The cake was soft and moist, not dry at all, 5/5 for the Saigon Cinnamon one.

Poor customer service, I waited minutes at the window, even knocked twice, for someone to help me while an employee stood around doing nothing. Finally had to go inside to get my order.
Not even organic but past organic prices. They came out during covid and I just never felt the vibe. Takes a long time and then super sweet. Could do better for being the new guys in town.

Tried to get the vegan donut. Came in, they said more vegan donuts would be available in 15-20 min came. Came back, same cashier. He has no recollection of telling me there would be vegan donuts and looks annoyed. Then another person came and she spoke in Spanish saying he shouldn’t have said there would be vegan donuts.
They took my birthday donut on the app and I got no donuts, waited 30 min, and the guy was super rude.
I live nearby, sad it was a bad experience at a place I go to.
I hope the owner of this business is reading this comment right now. I think you specifically choose your staff with sullen and bad energy. This is the first time I have ever seen such a bad energy person meet in a shop. You have a completely disgraceful staff team.

The most overpriced doughnuts you can find in Los Angeles sold to adoring masses of bison herded over a cliff of overhype. Cash isn't accepted to further make you feel like you're in an exclusive enclave of doughnut snobs.
