Nothing like this available in this area. Price on average is $17 + tax. Lots of vegetables in the dish and healthy. They adjust the spice level for you - medium spruce was just right for me.

Delicious freshly made Asian food at very affordable prices. I had the rendang beef and my wife had the nasi goreng chicken, both were excellent. The location is within the The Original Farmers Market next to The Grove shopping center and it had a very Asian Hawker’s market vibe to the place. I definitely come again on my next visit to LA.

This place is okay. While the food was nice and allowed us to have a meal before continuing on with the rest of our day in Los Angeles, there was minimal seating and the food takes a while to prepare. We nearly missed getting back to our tour bus back in time.

Food took rather long to prepare. My group had Malaysian, Singaporean and Indonesian friends and while the food wasn’t bad, we felt it missed the mark. The nasi goreng (fried rice) was a little wetter than I’d prefer, not loose and dry. They had thai tea but not teh tarik, which is more popular in SG and MY. The beef in the rendang was rather dry, not tender and falling apart when you poke into it.

There were a lot of Indo families there though, so maybe this is one of the better places in LA.

This place has some pretty polarizing reviews which seem to come from people who know Singaporean food.

I personally thought it was pretty tasty. Got a pretty large amount of items including the curry puffs, roti, and nasi goreng with chicken and fish.

Service was friendly to me. Food took longer than I thought but that just tells me they were making things fresh.

Curry puffs: fantastic, great flaky crust, savory potatoey inside 10/10

Roti: whether these are frozen or not, couldn’t tell, it certainly had enough layers of flakiness that came off freshly made, and the curry dipping sauce was the tastiest thing I had 10/10

Nasi Goreng: the chicken was delicious, the fish was ok, I would have to say that the sauce itself was on the bland side, wouldn’t get this dish again, 6.5/10

I’d still give this place a shot if you’re new to food from this region. I enjoyed it despite some of the bad reviews. Sounds like you should skip the laksa from reviews.

Stumbled across Banana Leaf when shopping at The Grove. Was recommended by a local shop worker. It is legitimately fantastic. Owner serves up recipes from his mom and wow, if you have a chance, I guarantee you will not be disappointed in the food - they put love in their product and it shows 👏

Never could resist not ordering Laksa and Thai ice tea in any parts of the world. This one not recommended . One comment called it coloured water . That pretty much sums up the soup base. No depth to its flavour, no traces of all the Asian spices that make up the essence of laksa. Truly disappointing. Recommend take it off the menu or do it right.

Thai ice tea also lacks tea flavour. Sorry .

As a Singaporean, I was excited to find this restaurant in Farmer's market. However, the laksa was disappointing, as others have pointed out. There was no shrimp/chilli paste, and the broth was diluted coconut milk.

There is also no fishcake, and no laksa leaves. Would not recommend.

I enjoyed the Singapore 🇸🇬 chendol drink which had interesting mixture of ice, coconut milk and cane sugar. The fried noodles were unfortunately very bland and it did not give me the flavor I was expecting.

This is an excellent spot to grab a quick and easy meal. The food is always delicious.

Your meal will be ready pretty fast after you order (10-15 minutes), which is impressive considering the amazing quality and bold flavors of each dish. I come here often and I am always pleased with Singapore's Banana Leaf!

If you're craving Singaporean food in LA, this spot is a gem! It's located in the OG LA farmer's market and has lots of outdoors seating. The chicken rendang is seriously amazing. Juicy and packed with flavor. The staff is super friendly. Definitely coming back again!
