We've never had such weird treatment as we did yesterday at Sizzler (Advantage Way, Sacramento). We were a party of 5. 2 ordered unlimited salad bar. 1 ordered a steak. 1 ordered a steak with a single trip to the salad bar to share with the remaining person.
The person gave us 4 silverware even though we were 5, even though we said we were 5. We clarified that the folks getting unlimited salad bar were not sharing with the other 3. We thought there was a mistake.
The waiter came and we asked for another silverware and she said only 4 people ordered entres then never brought us the 5th set. We said everyone wanted water, they refused to give a 5th water.
To top it all off at the end they brought us 4 mints instead of 5 since I guess they think of us 5 as only being worth 4.
Is this an official policy? I understand not wanting people to share unlimited salad bar, but the discrimination against people sharing other menu items is absurd, made us feel uncomfortable, and left a terrible taste in our mouths.
Other restaurants have no problem with people sharing purchased food. Why does Sizzler have a problem with this? Then why were they passively aggressive to us about it?
It makes it very difficult to recommend going to Sizzler based off this terrible treatment of paying customers.
We're all very disappointed.
