One of my favorite soon tofu places in LA! Way better than BCD (BCD's quality went down and now tastes like straight butter). SKDs broth is thick and flavorful. Always hits the spot! I love the ajuma's that work there, always so happy to see me and my husband. Service is also great!

Had a fantastic experience in here with my friend. The food was served quickly and the service is just excellent. Prices are fair.

The food here is heavily! Go there with an open mind if it's your first time trying it. I got a Vegetarians option but I'm pretty sure the other stuff probably tastes even better.

The food was great and the place is really clean. I love their kimchi. The only thing that I didn’t like about the waitress was the way she was asking me for tip. She was really rude about it and demanded for 10%. She said it was mandatory.

Tofu house is in the mall on the third floor. I ordered the combination soon tofu. It comes with five side dishes and a bowl of rice. The tofu is soft medium tofu. It comes with an egg to crack into the soup as it boils and cooks slowly. I like to add all the side dishes and soup into the bowl of rice and eat it together like a bibimbap. I am not sure I if this is culturally ok since I am not Korean. The service is not great compared to western style service. The waitress was a Korean mom and sleeping when I went into the restaurant. Haha I guess she was really tired. If you get over that and a few other ticks it is a very lovely place to eat not just for Korean people. The total came out to around $15.

Reading the other reviews, I expected poor customer service but wow, I didn't expect to be taken on such an emotional roller coaster. And just to get the food review over with, I'll say the food was good (bibimbap - 3 stars and the soon tofu - 4 stars). Ok now for the main experience: as soon as we sat down, the waitress basically tossed a water bottle and cups at us. When she took our order, she seemed super frustrated and annoyed that we had a question and took off even before we finished ordering. I approached her to finish our order and asked for a side of rice. Oh my goodness, she looked mad. Like super angry that I asked and curtly told me the soon tofu came with rice and immediately dismissed me. I sat down super confused but ok, whatever I thought she's the only one taking orders and is probably overwhelmed? (Although there weren't many people there.) She then brought us our order and of course it was messed up. 1. We ordered a vegetarian bibimbap and it had lots of meat on it. We told her and she looked annoyed and took it back. 2. We asked for kimchi in our soon tofu and it didn't have any kimchi in it but since we were already conscious of her annoyance at us we didn't ask about it. I kind of suspected that she would just scoop the meat out and low and behold that's what happened because when we got the "fixed" bibimbap it had many little pieces of meat in it left over. We picked it out and ate it anyway because we didn't want her to spit in our food (just a gut feeling that she might resort to that...). After we finished our food we stacked our plates together to make it easier for her to clean up and wow, I think that put us in her good graces. Because she came up to our table and SMILED at us. And she was so nice to us after that. We were like young children so excited and confused that we had earned her respect! We left feeling pretty accomplished. So in summary, food is ok, and it's basically a build your own adventure with experiencing customer service here. If you're up for the task go here and here's my advice: Be super nice, clean up after yourself, don't ask any questions, don't add any requests and don't be too picky about any discrepancies to your order. Good luck to you.

Yummy yummy yummy! Quick little tofu eatery to go to when I need my tofu fix. Cheap fast and easy!

They burnt my rice and spilled my soup. The front lady looked like she took a nap. The only time she was quick was to get the money from me and chase me for tip. I paid the tip out of pity. Negligent service and expected compensation for it

Went here for a coworker's celebration lunch and was pleasantly surprised. First time trying a tofu house and I'm a fan. Tried the seafood soon tofu and it hit the spot just right. One of the server ladies seemed a bit upset about working however the other lady made up for it with her service. A bit difficult to find in the mall, located on the top/3rd floor of the building. Gets pretty busy for weekday lunches, food is surely great for going back.

I admire this spot! They provide sensational food, they have a rich menu, The chief cook in that spot is an expert, I like very much trying all their dishes. The dishes are always tasty, the attitude towards the customers is helpful. I visit often this restaurant and I was never disappointed. I recommend it to all.

Just came back from this place and not only was the service horrible but a few of us ended up getting food poisoning. The servers were upset because we requested a few things that out of spite they messed up our order by giving us spicy tofu soup for the kiddos! Who does that?! We ended up having to order an extra non spicy soup for them and guess what, their stomach hurts, now. Never again will we come here, we'll stick to BCD or Ookook.

Didn't provide us stone pot rice when we asked while every other table received it. Pretty damn disrespectful and unnecessary for something so simple that any other place would do without discrimination.
