Good birrira tacos. Kind of hard to mess up something that little it cooked in pork fat. Great flavor on the carnitas and the consume was good too. A bit small of shells but they were packed. I really enjoyed the vampiro.

We went on a food tour in Venice Beach. We had the red tacos with consommé and tostadas. It was my husband’s favorite meal. The tacos dipped in the consommé made it taste like going to your abuela’s house for dinner. The consommé was 5 stars. The red tacos were average. The little patio was shaded and fit our group nicely. They have a bathroom. I’m adding this tip to all my reviews of Venice Beach because not all businesses including gas stations have public bathrooms! Lol

Beautiful and whimsical party venue for small private events! Will definitely be going out again for a sponsored event! Black women have a business with great service and more food! Mimosas are delicious too!

Before the birria tacos where fanous on You Tube, Teddy's Red Tacos was already serving these in his varios Los Angeles location. Street food done well. A+

Now with ten locations, and more on the way, Teddy’s Red Tacos has etched its name in Angelino’s memories thanks to Birria Consume done right. Opened in 2016, long before everyone including Ramen purveyors began treating Birria as the #instagram friendly Food of their dreams, owner Teddy Vasquez began Teddy’s Red Tacos as an intermittent pop-up before moving to a food truck off the railroad tracks along Slauson where the original remains today. Open at 9:00am daily, a covered outdoor dining area on this day necessary thanks to rain, it was with little hesitation that two guests exchanged $24 for a “Deluxe Plate” and one Vampiro, a mere five minutes passing before taking a bite of the sopping wet Taco heavily topped in Birria de Res. Using Shoulder-cut boiled for hours, then shredded or chopped, Teddy’s Mulita and Tostada each come crisp with heat tempered by Onions and Cilantro, and in the former’s case plenty of stretchy white Cheese. Not forgetting the Broth, complex and fatty but not “heavy,” guests will find Tortilla Chips dipped, fried on the flattop and extra crispy, somewhat like base of Teddy’s loaded Vampiro that stands in sharp contrast to a soft Quesadilla that just begs to be dipped into the Consume.

Best tacos 5 the dollar. Always helping the community. I was referred by a young man who speaks out against suicide and suggested I get “put on.” Don’t be a custer, go eat some tacos and support a local business.
