Delicious food in a solid, no-frills atmosphere. The papaya salad is among the best I've had, but was very spicy.

Looking for good Thai food this place was recommended by the Front Desk at the Millenial Biltmore Hotel. No disappointment. Perfect seasoning and portion size. We ordered the Yellow curry with chicken and rice plus Pad La Pow...spicy basil chucken.

Such a great Thai place find in DTLA! This place was taken over by new management as it used to be called Soi 7. They have great food and an awesome happy hour. The pad thai and pad see ew are fantastic! What's really interesting about this place is that the restaurant is huge! So big that they have a Poke place inside available for lunch. They even have a great game room area where you can play some pool or board games as you choose. I've also seen an awesome outdoor patio space but not sure when that's open.

Good Thai food in Tiki bar ambiance in DTLA! They have seating at the counter as well as many regular tables and chairs inside the restaurant. Taste and Quality:The food was made with authentic Thai spices. Quality and presentation was ok (Average to above average compared to my other experiences). What I had: Chicken wings (appetizer): Sweet tangy sauce on fried chicken wings. The wings might have been a bit "over-fried". The chicken was a little hard, but I still loved it regardless. Tom Yum Soup: Portion is very large, more than enough for 3 people. I would only recommend you to order this if you have 3+people. The portion is large enough to feed 4-5. They ask you to pick the spicy level on a scale from 1-10. Be warned that this is on a Thai spicy scale. I asked for the level 7, but it was actually (tolerable), but a bit much for me. (If you are used to eating spicy korean food, this might be a good level. However, I would probably go for level 5 next time). Pad Thai: It is what you would expect at a regular Thai restaurant. Price to quality: This is enough food for 3 people. One more entree would have been perfect. The food is very inexpensive. The check came out to $39 including tax and tips, which is not a bad price at $13/ person. If you are already in the downtown area, I would recommend giving this restaurant a try. Parking situation is a bit difficult though. You have to look for street parking.

So delicious! You can't go wrong with anything at this place!! Their drinks are also very fresh. A few things have been taken off their menu but your server will tell you! Great service and great prices.

Awesome space on 7th street. Ordered the green curry with roti and papaya salad to start. Mains were the Thai sausage and beef panang. All the food was excellent and great value at just over $50 for all that and two beers. Great service and a really friendly team. We would have loved to make it our regular, but sadly learned that they are discontinuing their evening service from next week. A real shame! Not sure what it is about DTLA but people seem to love crappy generic 'modern american' food, pretentious spaces and high prices rather than proper high quality, great value, good vibe options like this place.

I debated long and hard about the best way to describe So Long Hi - really is an anomaly in DTLA. You need to frame this place as a restaurant in Thailand aimed at American tourists. I'm serious. It'll change your perspective and reason you come in. The decor screams outdoor beach bar with seating and neon signs tucked away in odd corners. On the TV screen by the bar, they're playing some montage of Mario Bros from the 80s. To top it off, there's Thai music playing. Start walking to the bathrooms and you find a pool table and what looks like a deli counter. It's great and hilariously odd at the same time. The curries are what I go for at So Long Hi. I've tried a few other items but I don't know if I would rave. Go for the experience, its a fun one.

Excellent service and excellent food. We actually just saw this place while walking down 7th street and decided to stop by. The decor was interesting. Creative and a bit odd. They seated us in 5 minutes and they told us that the food would take almost half an hour but ironically it didn't. We ordered the green curry with roti for an appetizer and OH MY LORD it was SOO SO GOOD. I've ate at a million Thai restaurants but never had anything like it. Very unique and tasty! Loved it so much! I wish they had a bigger dish so I could have just had it as a meal. Very good. I got the khao soi as my main dish. It was yellow curry with noodles and it was pretty good. I ordered a side of rice and it made it even better. The only thing I didn't like about it was the onions and the chicken. Chicken was too over cooked taste for my opinion but my boyfriend loved it. I know many people like chicken like that but I personally dont. Anywho, it was still a great dish! My boyfriend ordered the tom kha. I hate coconut milk but this soup was very good. Unique. Never tried anything like it before. Great presentation! Overall, loved the food. One of the best places I've tried in LA. So good!

Finally found a good Thai restaurant in LA! I moved from MO about six months ago and love Thai food but haven't found the right spot. My gf and I went to 7th just to wander around bc I've never been and came across this spot. Obviously the smell attracted us to go in and look at the menu. Prices were decent so why not try it! Did not regret it!! My gf got the khoa soi which was BOMB! I got the Tom kha and that was just something I've never tasted before. The soup was a little spicy and made the dish even better. One complaint I have is the onions were kind of hard like they've been cooked too long but I just picked it out. Other than that, I have no complaints about the food overall. The veggies were super fresh and you can tell they haven't been sitting out. The khoa soi wasn't spicy and it was a perfect match for the soup we had. We also got the green curry with roti and OH MY DAMN. So good. I cannot wait to go back for more. Definitely recommend! Also, the service was amazing. Each worker that came to our table was very polite and quick. Idk why this place has 3 1/2 stars! Underrated.

3.5/5... I really want this place to be good, because it's so close to my apartment... The Tom Kha soup is presented beautifully and tastes great. I've been here a few times and I've tried their green curry, pad kee mao, pad see ew, and a pork dish -- they were okay. The pad see ew when ordered tasted burnt, and when we told the waitress, she said that is how it's served... (I've never had burned pad see ew at any other restaurants). When another staff member came by and saw that we weren't eating our pad see ew, he asked what's wrong and brought a different dish out for us, which was very nice.

The food was good. It was busy at lunch and the service was a bit slow. The entrees are fairly priced. Nothing special here, but nothing wrong either. If you are craving Thai food downtown, this place will work.

I was so disappointed with this Thai restaurant. My friend and I ordered our lunch at the same time and I didn't get my dish. We asked if they were cooking my pad see ew and the waitress looked confused. I thought you guys ordered 1 dish. We ordered 2 dishes. I even asked for shrimp for my pad see ew and she said OK. My lunch time was almost over when I finally got my dish. My pad see ew ($11.00) was overcooked and greasy. So long bye!!! 2 stars!! So Long Hi is not yummylicious!!

I would give them 5 stars. The food is actually good, Tom Yum soup was super delicious and I liked interesting presentation with fire. Curry chicken i didn't like mush, it was in coconut milk which made it sweet and I just dont like anything sweet except of deserts.. But it was good as well in general. They also have small outside area and a lounge area where you can play pool and just chill. Really nice place!

This place used to be Soi 7. It has the same receipts and food. Excellent food and the best Thai in downtown! Great spot and nice ambiance.
