Best chimichangas ever! I got a chicken chivichanga & a cabeza taco. These Sonoran style come with lettuce in a flour tortilla instead of corn tortillas. The taco was good, the cabeza was less fatty, which I like, compared to the cabeza I have from street vendors. But their chimichangas/chivichangas are to die for. Easily the best chimichangas I have ever had at a restaurant. I do prefer the chicken, but either or is packed with flavor. Definitely a must try when local.
I grew up in California, traveled around many parts of Mexico including Tijuana, Guadalajara and Baja Mexico, and hands-down this is the BEST burrito I’ve ever had. The balance is a perfect mix of costilla steak cooked on a mesquite wood both brought in direct from Mexico, beans, cheese and guacamole. The red salsa is spicy but a must have with this. I LOVE the grilled green onion they give you. I make a stop here every time I come to California.
One of Los Angeles’ great additions to our taco scene! Highly recommend getting the Caramelo with Tripa! It’s crunchy and made well at this place. The Chorizo is also great with a savory and salty notes. The service and turnaround is quick too even when busy. The service was nice and helped us pick out how much food to get. The Horchata con Coco is delicious too! The creaminess with the added coconut flavor is on point! Place is small and tables are first come, first serve...
