I hate to be a hater because it’s really nice to have this place in the neighborhood but I’m really bummed that their flour tortillas contain lard. I can only get the tostada on a crispy corn tortilla. That’s literally the only item a vegetarian can eat, except maybe for chips and guac. I would love to try a bean and cheese burrito from this place but the lard is a deal breaker. Sonoratown, if you’re listening, please make your menu more accessible to vegetarians.
Amazing food with a very friendly staff! Definitely a favorite neighborhood spot

Got the burrito 2.0 with chicken and one with costilla. Both were absolutely delicious, a classic. Forgot one of our orders of cebollitas but the food and hortchata de coco made up for it. Red salsa is SPICY, so add that on the side if need be. Green salsa was delicious.

Sonoratown is that one LA spot that delivers real Sonoran sabor. My wife’s from Navojoa, Sonora—this is her go-to when she’s craving that home-cooked flavor. Her favorite? The caramelo paired with an agua de horchata con coco, just like back home. Add that salsa chiltepín for the real ones who know their heat. From mesquite-grilled asada to handmade flour tortillas, it’s tradition wrapped in every bite. If you’re serious about flavor, this spot doesn’t miss. Puro! Navojoa vibes.

Tried the bean taco, asada taco, chorizo, and pastor taco. I mean you can’t go wrong with any but the I feel like the Sonora style handmade flour tortilla makes it!

What a delicious burrito I had here! I am from our of state and came to California with my family. We were looking up restaurants to try in the area, and Sonoratown came up.
My brother got a chicken burrito, I got a steak burrito, and my mom got a veggie burrito. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our burritos and thought they were delicious! The steak was well seasoned and juicy and the grilled green onion the put on top was delicious as well!
I highly recommend trying Sonoratown out if you get a chance!

Delicious, smoky burritos. Not huge portions but tasty and reasonably priced.

Simple yet, delicious. Place snuggled by a corner store but they have seating inside and out (outside ha limited shade). I wasn’t sure what to order but the gentleman at the registered had a good suggestion. I ordered the Caramelo with costilla (steak). I wasn’t expecting it so large, and it was so good, I ate it all! Delicious and packed with flavor. When in the area, I will definitely be back.

Pleasant.
Yes chipotle is a somewhat controversial reference, but I’m going to do it... Sonoratown has comparable prices, superior service, is just as quick, and is of higher quality. This is my go to, i’ll drive an extra 10-30 mins to come here. This over Chipotle or any casual mexican food option any day of the week.
