Had this marked to try based on the ratings and the tortillas made with lard. Got the Burrito 2.0 w steak. It was ok but the meat quality was not good. Tough w too many pieces of hard gristle. There is a def charred aroma to it which is nice but I didn't find the flavors to be all that impressive.

One of my favorite tacos in LA! These Sonoran style tacos feature some of the best flour tortillas you’ll find in the country. The char on the meats is perfected and is complimented by their red and green salsas. A must if you are in LA.

Sonoratown in Los Angeles is a standout gem for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine. This intimate, no-frills spot serves up flavorful dishes rooted in Sonora, Mexico, offering a refreshing twist on the standard Mexican fare. Their tacos are a highlight, especially the juicy and tender grilled carne asada, served on hand-pressed tortillas that are thick, warm, and perfectly charred. The flour tortillas here are especially notable, boasting a soft, chewy texture that elevates every taco.

Obsessed with Sonoratown since we discovered it in 2016. We would order pick up from the downtown location weekly, and now with this closer location, we dine in weekly! Hubs loves their spicy salsas but if you aren’t into them like me, you can order items with no salsa. We love the chivichangas, caramelos, and quesadillas! We’ve been trying minimize red meat in our diet and found their chicken options delicious. Their mild Avocado salsa and poblano chile quesadilla are also my go to’s

When my BIL picks me up from the airport, we stop here in the way back. Great food and vibe. Last visit, we both got the Caramelo, which was great—the smoky flavor made it extra satisfying. If you want truly spicy, make sure to let them know.

This place slaps every single time! My usual order a chivichanga but tn I went with a caramelo and chorizo taco. So freaking non! Salsas are spicy and so so good to pair with. Love their horchata too. Service is always amazing, everyone is so welcoming :)

Parking Space/Options: Can be tricky since sharing lot with 7Eleven
Price for entry: $-$$
Suggestions: Definitely try the burritos 👍🏽 The red salsa surprisingly has a good kick to it and the green is mild but also very good
