Amazing modern Mexican restaurant with a vibe! They were playing reggaeton and it’s was such a great date night spot. The shrimp and steak burrito really blew my mind. Chips were freshly made and the salsa was homemade. Ten out of ten! I’ll be back.

The food here is quite tasty- I had tacos and my partner had a burrito; both were delish. Service was fast, with friendly waiters. It's a short walk to Crypto.com, so convenient. The atmosphere is rather pedestrian but I'd definitely eat here again when I'm going to an event in the area. It's a good option before heading to a show.

We were excited to try Sonoritas after reading all the glowing reviews, especially since it's in a great spot if you're heading to LA Live like we were for a concert. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance and very good service — our server was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Things started off promising with the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were lightly seasoned and crisp, and the salsa had a nice smoky depth that kept us dipping for more. Unfortunately, the quality didn't carry through to the main dishes. My son and I ordered the Surf & Turf burritos and a couple of Cokes, while my wife tried the taco sampler — one ribeye, one shrimp, and one BBQ short rib. She liked the shrimp taco, but only took a single bite of the other two. I tasted the short rib taco myself and found both the flavor and texture off-putting. The ribeye taco, while tender enough, was lacking in seasoning. As for the burritos — they were just okay. You can tell the restaurant uses high-end ingredients, but the food lacked the flavor and attention to detail you'd expect for the higher-end price tag. I've honestly had better-tasting dishes made with cheaper cuts of meat elsewhere. I hate writing negative reviews, but I rely heavily on Yelp when choosing restaurants, so I think it's only fair to share when an experience misses the mark. Sonoritas wasn't terrible, but for us, it was underwhelming — good service and ambiance, but the food just didn't live up to the hype.

Hidden taco speakeasy. Amazing chicken burrito and solid cocktails. Great staff. Outdoor patio is shaded. Decor is a little mis-matched but after a couple margaritas you won’t notice.

Been here multiple separate times and they are never open. They don’t update hours and don’t pick up the phone. Photos are fake and I highly recommend you take your hard earned money elsewhere.

We had the chicken bowl, asada tacos (tijuana style), a california burrito with some mini quesadillas and man.. that was .. love. Whoever was in the kitchen that day deserves recognition and the service was exceptional. We celebrated our little one's birthday and Horacio and Raul's customer service was the cherry on top. 10/10 recommend!

this is my go to spot when I am craving Mexican that is not a taco truck. even though every time i come something is different , the half pound m & t is so good every time. the hibiscus margaritas tasted a bit different this time but i hope it was just a one time thing, they’re usually more fresh. but it was still good. i have to shout out horace who has been here each time i have come back and i finally asked for his name. friendly, fast, and welcoming , what amazing service each time.

The tacos were delicious overall. The chicken was a bit on the salty side, but still flavorful. I ordered the taco sampler with filet mignon, shrimp, and rib tacos—each one had its own unique flavor and was enjoyable. The guacamole was especially fresh and paired well with everything. Service was quick and efficient, and the atmosphere was welcoming. I’d definitely recommend this spot and would gladly come back again.

Great place to go for lunch. Or to have dinner with a Michelada.

Wonderful experience. The food was delicious - the only hiccup was I asked if the soup was corn and gluten free and he said it was but then it came with a lot of little slices of tortilla sprinkled on top. So I couldn't eat it. Other than that, I had a bowl and it was a ton of delicious food for a great value. Would definitely go back!

The beef, shrimp and guacamole burrito was amazing! The margarita was delicious, and the encheladas were big.

Bartender was quite rude. He yelled at me when I wouldn't go to the terminal to order at the bar. Food was fine. Draft tasted a little off.
