Great pork belly, pork collar, and sliced brisket. Solid assortment of side dishes (lots of pickled veggies), good kimchi too.

The food is soooo good!!!!

The pork belly is thick, juicy, and grilled perfectly by the staff, so you don’t have to cook anything yourself. Service is attentive and professional.

The side dishes are also a highlight — lots of variety, and everything we tried was solid. I love their eggs and soup!!! Not just the pork, the beef was surprisingly good and very juicy.

Overall, a great place for a casual dinner or group meal. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in K-town.

This place dry-aged pork is very delicious - there’s absolutely no gamey pork smell at all. The staff grills everything for you though out the meal.

Tried Sookdal LA and was really impressed. Their aged pork is super tender and flavorful, especially the thick-cut pork belly. The staff grills everything for you and really knows what they’re doing. Great quality meats, lots of tasty side dishes, and a very authentic Korean BBQ experience. Would definitely come back.

Amazing aged pork—crispy outside, super tender and juicy inside, with no pork smell at all. The pork belly is rich but not greasy.

🔥 Full-service grilling, no effort needed.

Just tried the famous Sookdal from Korea — now open in LA’s Koreatown! It’s located on the second floor of a plaza, with limited street parking and a $3 valet parking downstairs.

We ordered Combo E, meant for 2–3 people. It came with aged pork + rib eye + grilled cheese + steamed egg + soup. We went with the pork belly, their signature item, which is advertised as the thickest in LA — and it did not disappoint. The cut was impressively thick and juicy. They even included a meat “ID card” showing how many days it was aged and which chef handled the process — a nice touch!

The staff grilled everything for us, and they really knew what they were doing. The pork belly came out crispy outside and tender inside, and the beef was so juicy. The grilled pineapple and cheese were absolute highlights — so fragrant, I wanted to order another round right away.

The banchan and side dishes were plentiful: kimchi cold noodles, creamy risotto, mixed noodles, miso soup, kimchi stew, and more. I especially loved the steamed egg from the set. We also added a risotto on the side — really tasty, but I’d recommend saving it for the end, or you might fill up before the meat!

Definitely coming back. Great vibe, quality meat, and full-service grilling.

Amazing meat quality, great service, and tons of sides. If you love thick-cut pork belly or aged meat, this place is definitely worth trying.
Their signature thick-cut aged pork belly is incredible, no porky smell at all, super juicy, and crispy on the outside. The service was excellent. The staff grilled everything for us, checked the grill temperature, and cooked each piece perfectly, so we could just relax and enjoy.
Both the pork belly and the ribeye were fantastic. The ribeye was tender, juicy, and honestly better than what I’ve had at many BBQ places.
They also offer a huge variety of side dishes and sauces, and they even have a guide on different ways to enjoy the meat, like salt, garlic oil, wasabi, cheese, pickled leaves… every combo tasted great.

Went to SOOKDAL Korean BBQ with some friends, and it was awesome! I got Combo D — pork belly, pork neck, brisket, kimchi stew, cheese, and steamed egg — plus a spicy bowl of naengmyeon. The BBQ smelled incredible, and the pork neck was hands down the best part: crispy outside, juicy inside. The cheese grilled perfectly, all gooey and rich. The kimchi stew had just the right spice, and the steamed egg was soft and fluffy. The cold noodles were the perfect cool-down after all that smoky, fatty goodness. The place was super clean and cozy, and the staff were so nice — they even helped handle the grill. Totally recommend it!
