I waited a year to come here from the east coast, and it was worth the wait. From the food to the atmosphere, I felt like I was in another dimension with the unique take on regional cooking styles to the sound quality of the music. You could taste the freshness in the ingredients — even the cheese in the dessert was clearly homemade and freshly made. This is such a unique and special place. Thank you for a wonderful experience. This was the best food I had in a long time.

Good food, but owner does everything on his own. That means you order your food from a tablet, sit down, your food arrives and you are done.
Almost none human interaction in a dark room setting.
I liked the food but don’t see myself coming for a second time.
“We had a really pleasant experience. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and comfortable. Overall, a great spot — we’d definitely come back.”

One of the best restaurants we’ve been to in LA! The story of the chef, the restaurants atmosphere, the small selection of lovely dishes and the extraordinary taste of the food make this a highlight.
As a Turk, I can say that this place serves very authentic food with an excellent twist.
Chef Oktay is very dedicated and his values are reflected in the dishes he creates. Bonus points because he does not serve alcohol in his place. A very bold move, which we much appreciated.

Thoroughly enjoyed our valentine dinner. It was such a chill and lovely dinner experience. The music setup, the aesthetics and the food are authentic and cozy. We are coming back to try dishes we didn’t get to try this time.

I had a great experience at SORA. The whole experience is perfectly simple. Nothing feels rushed, the food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, and there is an immediate warmth and hospitality when you walk in. Best Turkish food I’ve had outside of Turkey. Don’t skip dessert.

Dining at Sora Craft Kitchen is unlike any other restaurant experience we’ve ever had & quite honestly the most memorable! Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner, operator, chef & one man show himself Chef Okay Inak! He greeted us by name & enthusiastically invited us to sit at a table closest to the kitchen reserved just for us. He was jovial & friendly….entertaining us with stories of his childhood and inspiration whilst preparing the draft we had just ordered at the kiosk by the entrance. Courses flowed seamlessly, often taken by surprise by the abundance and vibrant flavors that seemed to leap of the plate and onto our taste buds. His generous and gentle style flowed from the table to the kitchen as the oceans ebbing waves, with each h plate effortlessly gliding from his skilled hands to our table.
Chef Onak serves his late mother’s Kitel and weaves his passion for using the most premium ingredients into each dish. He does it all with so much vibrancy and passion, and he does it all solo!
I especially loved hearing how he sources his ingredients fresh twice weekly at the Santa Monica Farmers Market & imports his spices from Turkey. I also loved how he supports a woman owned local artisan for all of his serving ware & dishes made by Studio Molin.
Chef Okay Inak is an inspiration to me an a small business owner, he has demonstrated the impact of a soloprenuer. 🙌🏼

Don't let the neighborhood scare you away, this was an amazing dining experience. Ordering at the kiosk after you enter is simple and intuitive. The owner/chef/server/busser (yes, he does it all!), Okay Inak, is pleasant, attentive, and creates delicious food. We ordered the gavurdagi salad and icli kofte as starters, the kabab and chicken as mains, and couldn't resist ordering two desserts as well, the rice pudding and cheese halva. Not one single dish was anything less than amazing. The small venue allows for a personalized touch from Okay that you can't get anywhere else and makes SORA a must try. Even though we live across town, this has become one our our go-tos for dining out
