The fish was obviously of very high quality. The tuna and salmon melted in my mouth like butter. The portions were on the smaller side and higher in price. Also there were warm face towels before and after. You get what you pay for. Soregashi is located in a mini strip mall at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Highland Ave, a schmoe location if there ever was one. But I just attended a Noel Coward cabaret show at the LGBT Center around the corner
and I was hungry...

I love it here. Years ago we heard this is where sushi chefs go to eat after work. I don't know if it's true, but I think the quality of the fish is amazing. Tsuyoshi and Chef Kei are friendly and very sweet. It's starting to feel like home.

I’ve been eating sushi since I was 12 (I’m 42 now) and I’ve eaten sushi in some excellent restaurants in numerous cities in Japan, and this was the best sushi I’ve ever had. But not just anything on the menu, specifically the “Sushi Omakase,” which is priced at $95… and worth every penny. Eat it slowly and savor every bite.
