Knock was incredibly kind and even took the time to teach me the proper technique for whisking matcha, which made the visit feel extra special and personal.
He also shared that the owner is a judge for barista competitions across the country — you can really taste the expertise in every sip.
The café has such a cozy, relaxing vibe. It's the perfect spot to cool down and enjoy a quality drink after walking under the sun.
I ordered the matcha latte with sesame cream on top, and it was absolutely umami — rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced.

tried out the matcha cream latte & soro latte a few weeks back. the soro latte was unique and refreshing/citrusy. both were yummy, but my personal favorite was their matcha cream latte! i've had plenty of double matchas, but what i liked was how their cream top wasn't too overly sweet—it was a nice addition to the matcha latte without it being overpowering :) the space is also really nice as well! bright interior and plenty of seating for getting work done!

This is definitely a gem in downtown city of the angels. The atmosphere is so chill and relaxing with the perfect chilled beats vibe you’ll want to stay here until they close. The baristas are serious and dedicated to the craft. I say this as my experience here was magical. I ordered the Espresso Shot set up along with a Pour Over set up. The execution of the presentation was eye pleasing with the coffee flavor to match. I was so pleased with every sip of both of my orders I decided to get a third one. This time I ordered their specialty which is the Soro. It’s a blend of Matcha cream with espresso topped with a dried orange to give it a unique flavor with each sip. Everything was satisfactory and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu. The service was friendly and inviting. If you’re in the mood for some serious coffee or a flavorful drink then definitely check them out.
Long wait, cortado in a size of latte and “baristas” tried to convince me it’s how it’s supposed to be. This is not specially in any way, don’t waste your money.

One of the most phenomenal coffee experience I've ever had. I can't believe I got to sit down by the bar and watch the baristas make pour over and matcha with so much care and warmth! The space is so big and there's a lot of sitting and I could really taste the quality in the coffee and the matcha. Highly highly recommend this place. I was so curious about what the baristas were doing so when I asked, they were so gentle in explaining their bypass pour over method and the whisking of the matcha process. Truly wonderful place!

SORO Coffee is a hidden gem in DTLA! I took a trip downtown with my girls and stopped by SORO Coffee. The coffee quality was incredible! If you love coffee, this is definitely the place to go. Even my picky girls loved the drinks so much they ordered the same ones twice. The lady there even gave them complimentary cookies—what a perfect way to end their winter break! Parking could be tricky but we found a street parking spot by the shop. You can park at the library or Whole Food :)
