They have a phone number listed that is disconnect or not in service and took one hour just to get our appetizer. Get it together people. First and foremost have a working phone number. 323-962-7685 is your listed number and it doesn't work

I'm so glad I finally got to try this place. My friend has been dying to try this place as well, but we both weren't down to wait hours at a time...so she ran at the opportunity to buy a fast pass online! We got super lucky. We got to pre-order our meal [3 days in advance], and right when we got there to pick it up, they made it fresh for us!

I wanted to love this place but it was just okay. The wings are flavorful but I wasn't a complete fan of the sauces. I had the garlic parm- I prefer a dry rub or garlic/butter style garlic parm and there's was a sauce.

Flavours, textures, aromas, temperatures – all mastered with perfection. A big thanks to the legend.

Ordered the short rib burger from here. The food was average (forgettable) & the service was decent. I haven't returned & have no plans to, but I am disappointed that they are asking people to tip on top of tax. This is an inscrutable business practice and should be stopped. You don't ask patrons to tip off the grand total, only the cost of the food + drink.

Love the space, service and the food! The bartender, Christian is very knowledgeable and can mix up a great cocktail.Went for happy hour and had the mac n cheese with crawfish, red beans and rice, house salad, kettle corn. The food is delicious! The macaroni and cheese was good, but they just sat the crawfish on top. The crawfish were boiled so they didn't have much flavor. I would have preferred for it to be mixed into the macaroni. The red beans and rice were rich and flavorful. I don't even like beans, but they were good. The house salad is a spring lettuce mix with cucumbers tomatoes and red onions. The onions could have been lighter. The dressing comes tossed into the salad. The menu is overwhelming with soulful sounding items so I intend to take multiple trips and try them all! Oh and they have brunch until 3pm on the weekends!

My mother and I decided to visit this restaurant a few weeks ago . We Pulled up and It was closed! I was so disappointed I had heard good things and was looking forward to it. So we settled for Roscoe's chicken and waffles. Can someone tell me if this place is closed permanently? The website still has the hours of business as if it's open.

This place is permanently closed. It just filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy and a bankruptcy trustee has been appointed to sell off its remaining assets. Too bad for the owner, who invested a significant amount of time and money in the place, which didn't last long.

This restaurant just filed a Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy. Its assets will be sold off by the bankruptcy trustee.

... love this place for charming ambience AND good food AND great friendly service: hollywood soul is my new one-stop for shrimp and grits and all things southern nouvelle, with an exceptional bar on tap as well.
