Mediocre food, basic bottle syrupy cocktails in dollar tree store glasses, Mediocre service and ambiance. You get all that for high prices...

Happy Hour drink and food menu has variety (wine, beer, cocktails, appetizers, pasta, pizza) and it is delicious. Nice outdoor patio setting.

Wow. It has been such a long time since I've had such a fantastic meal, that I feel the need to write about it. Everything from the decor, to the service, to the food, was incredible. We had a reservation for this NYE. We arrived slightly early, and were seated promptly. As a party of 5, we went all out. We got 3 appetizers, an entree each, two desserts, and lots of wine. Everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING we ordered was phenomenal. Brussel sprout appetizer? GET IT. Crispy pork belly appetizer? GET IT. We had a fantastic waiter who seemed to not only be working tables inside, but also those on the patio. He was HUSTLING. This made our service slightly slow, but we were in no rush, and everything we asked for, we got promptly. I WILL be back.

My family and I had our early NYE dinner here and there couldn't have been a better spot! Service was so friendly and attentive, food was delicious, and the vibes were just right.

Spartina is definitely a great find! I live in Mississippi and travel to LA a couple of times a year. It is always on my list of places I must visit. We took a group of 13. We had reservations and we were accommodated and seated immediately. The chef/owner came out, made recommendations, and made sure we had appetizers on the table. Everything came out promptly and was fabulous!!! I had the Sicilian Shrimp Pasta but sampled the grilled chicken, pepperoni pizza and tortellini with beef short ribs. I am not sure which was the best!! It is all delicious. If you find yourself near Melrose, please put this on your list. You will not be disappointed.

Love this place. The only issue was we had a Christmas dinner for 6 on a Friday night and 8:45PM. We sat down and the first thing we heard was the kitchen was closing in 15 min....should have given us a heads up prior. We felt rushed.

Perhaps the most mushy overcooked pasta I’ve ever had at a restaurant and it was way overpriced. Appetizers, on the other hand, were all delicious. Service and ambiance were also great but this place is nowhere near worth the price for such bad pasta. My friend had the same experience here. Great apps bad pasta.

The food was fantastic. We would have liked to come back but the service ruined the experience. The outside ambiance is wonderful. When we arrived, there weren't that many people, but we were sat at the one table that did not have a working heater. We were told that they'd fix it quickly, but we had to ask a busser twice to help turn it on. We didn't have a heater until after our meals were finished. The waiter, while super nice at the beginning, ignored us after placing our food order. However, we constantly saw him attend to the other tables many times. We wanted a second round of drinks, but by the time we were helped, we were done with our meals and were ready to go. We're not the type to throw a fit or openly complain to the service staff, but the waiter was adamant that we tell him what he did wrong, which made everything weird and awkward. We just wanted to leave but in the end it felt like they were keeping us hostage by how long he took to finally give us the check. He gave us a free dessert, which we appreciated, but we couldn't enjoy it after that whole thing. He seemed great to the other tables, though. This doesn't seem like the common experience, so I would recommend for the food, as it was all delicious, but hopefully you have better luck with the service.

GREAT AS ALWAYS, WE ARE CUSTOMERS SINCE A FEW YEARS AGO, WE LOVE THEIR FOOD, THEM AND THEIR SELECCION OF WINES BEERS / SPIRITS, AS THE BEAUTY AND DESIGN OF THE PLACE INSIDE AND OUT! JUST A RELAX CLASSY PLACE.

The service was unobtrusive and anticipated our needs. The wines were delicious. The vegetarian side selections were perfect, especially the cauliflower. The four of us shared a pizza bianco. The home made pastas were likewise very tasty. And despite it being a bit chilly (high 50s) the heaters kept us comfortable. A perfect Sunday dinner.

We have dined at this restaurant many times....in the past years. This time for Thanksgiving. The restaurant is in our neighborhood and was always a good experience. We ordered drinks and opted for the Thanksgiving menu. I also ordered bread as the drinks came but not the food...........The bread came after we had finished our very small soup and interesting small salad. The larger plate arrived after 45 minutes with all the goodies......it was very tasty and we were full. Our waitress was great and always available. The bread was priced at $12.00...a bit high and the meal was worth it at $60 p/p. But we will not be back too soon as the prices are a bit high. But all in all it was a good Thanksgiving choice.

Ambience is great! Chairs are hard and small so if comfort is a priority not the best option for a long meal. Menu is quite large so plenty of options. Everything was executed well enough but nothing was super memorable or stood out in terms of flavors or quality. Favorite dish we ordered was the grilled bread with ricotta that was 4/5. Service was friendly and attentive enough but not overbearing

I spent Thanksgiving with my parents here. It also happened to be my dad's birthday. From the moment we got there to the moment we left the staff was great: efficient, kind, and welcoming. They gave my dad a free tiramisu for his birthday. Great place.

I feel as if I'm being welcomed into someone's home for dinner and then being treated like royalty. One of my fav LA places to bring friends from out of town or just grab a bite on any given night.
