Grown in the depths of Brazil's coffee-rich Cerrado Mineiro region, Milton produces world-class microlot coffees on his family's farm, Chapado de Ferro. Even with Lower Altitudes, Milton's coffes are full of brilliant flavors due to his knowledge of the land's volcanic soils and complex weather patterns. What else can we say but sensacional! Deus Me Livre (Blend)

SPLA's first ever blend, Deus Me Livre (God Forbid), strikes all the right chords as we enter a time of uncertainty and innovation. With each sip, you taste a sample from each farm that we work with and will be surprised by the complexity of this hand-crafted blend. I mean, we still need amazing coffee, right? Deus me livre. Recommended for Espresso, Chemex and Cold Brew. Currently Tastes Like: TBD.

Blessed to have this spot within walking distance in Chinatown. Our Friday ritual is moving the car for street cleaning and stopping by to get two coffees and pastries. I’m not a fan of sweets but I’m in love with their almond pastry.

Top score for the vibes here. The ladies preparing your coffee emit, even impart, that sense of care and joy one keeps throughout the morning, and sometimes well into the night.

The coffee prep space is confined, yet the adjacent room is connected via a service window where these kind baristas present your drink. You could work or craft here on the good-sized tables. High ceilings and big windows yield mental health boosting natural light. Clean, well-appointed...

First time here, parking was ok. Free and metered street parking. Always see people outside, the service was very slow. That was probably the only thing that would detour me from detouring. A coffee and croissant was $14. Good flavor but pricey. Couple tables to sit outside and an area to sit and work inside that was really nice. Would recommend. Worth the try. Not sure if I will return.
