They made me wait 2 hours for a simple sandwich, I asked for a refund, and the owner told me the refund would be available in 3 or 4 days, a month ago and still haven't received the refund. I was excited to visit Spring Cafe, but now I don't want to go anymore :(

Caught them trying to up charge me for extra ingredients I didn’t order. Not sure how often they’ve done it in the past, because this time I only noticed because my small drink was more expensive than the medium drink I ordered the day before. The owner tried to give me 75 cents in cash back. I asked him what am I supposed with 75 cents in cash and he responded I can spend it at their place…
Besides that the food is very mid in general and their pastry is often times days old. Only go here for the convenience, but there’s literally a Starbucks down the street.
how are you out of bagels? send someone to the store!
Update: One star for poor management.

I'm really helpful really comforting place clean the staff is very helpful and very friendly The meals choices is delicious The prices are great and the staff is extremely friendly and I like the way the staff explains things to you if you have questions if you're not understanding or sure about the preparation of the drinks or the meals

I've been coming to this place for three years now and seen it change management a few times-- but I've always loved it! Such a sweet tucked away little spot above the rabble of downtown LA. The workers have always been super nice and with this new iteration of ownership, it seems they are putting good vibes into the space. There's a new stage and cool merch for sale. I've also hear they're doing some cool monthly events.
I hope to keep coming back again and again!

I really liked the coffee and the food here. I was on a bad day but when I left the cafe it was all released.
Super cute cafe! Love the location & they were very nice in there too!! It has great natural lighting as well for a calm study environment.

It comes with ultra sadness to say that when I went into location to food review breakfast ? I asked to speak with Manager and the man said for? That's no way to great anyone and he ignored me after that and a woman said I had to leave for asking for manager.
I will never be returning after this experience for the color of my skin.
We don't deserve this type of treatment

Our 1st time here was pretty much a disappointment. I ordered a breakfast bowl that was ok. The menu on the wall said $13.95, and my receipt said $16.74. How does that work out? I didn't add anything or change anything. We also got a bagel. An everything bagel which they charged extra for... ??♀️ That was $4.50 plus $0.25 more for the everything bagel (not the plain one) and then it was $0.99 more for cream cheese... not toasted. I also ordered a diet coke that they pointed out that we were not charged for and asked us to put an extra dollar in the tip jar after I already tipped 20%. For a breakfast bowl, bagel and diet coke it was $30. The best part about this place is the cool location and view. I will not be going back. Such a shame...

You need to call to verify they are open, before driving 45 minutes and paying $15 to park just to find out they decided to close early. According to the security guard downstairs they do it all the time.

It's a shame when you go out of your way, up to the 9th floor of a private building to go and have a cup of coffee and a nice experience but then you somehow get overlooked and the next 5 customers get their drinks before you and they get treated really well while you sit and stare at the walls wondering what you did wrong to be treated this way. After all this, I asked if I had been forgotten, was ignored, my daughter had to go up and ask, and they they got my order wrong, and my drink was luke warm at best ?What a disappointment as I had heard about this place and its beautiful views. If you're not looking for good service, and you want to be able to just look out the window, then maybe give Spring Street cafe a try.Maybe if you're part of their inner circle, they'll treat you better

Neat little cafe tucked away on the 9th floor. Ordered the chai latte and it was definitely tasty. The environment is very intimate with a few tables and a sweet street view. Would definitely come back.
