The recent cupcakes I tried taste different now. The vanilla cupcake was dry and a little stale and just didn't taste that great. It wasn't bad but underwhelming. I got them late afternoon so maybe I got the last ones from the morning? It just wasn't worth the price at all.
Stopped by here today on the way out of the mall and it’s clear that, like the rest of the world, Sprinkles has taken a dystopian turn.
Ordering has been outsourced to a tablet.
Cupcakes are $4 each.
Wanting to maximize my returns, I purchased a bag of mini red velvet cookies, hoping to resurrect fond Aughts memories of the red velvet craze. Big mistake. Bit into one and thought immediately they must be running their employees to Ralphs to pick these things up from the packaged cookie aisle. Dry texture and artificial taste. Godawful.
Hate to see Sprinkles go the way of so many once-promising local brands. Giving an extra star for good memories of cupcakes past.
I was really disappointed with my recent visit to Sprinkles. The cupcakes were handed out in plain brown paper bags, which felt so cheap and unappealing. Presentation matters, and this wasn’t it. Not a good look for Sprinkles! Never seen any brand do this. There was no adequate holder so you bare cupcakes just flops around and gets the bag greasy. Reminded me of fried chicken.

“Cute Temptation”
I once wondered what the difference was between cupcakes and muffins.
A muffin is a cupcake-shaped cake, and cupcakes are always decorated with sweet icing on top. So cupcakes can create artistic and diverse beauties.
Most of America's famous cupcakes have their own unique characteristics. It is loved for its beauty. Of course, taste is also important (in fact, famous restaurants have very good taste).
Sprinkles is the most famous cupcake brand in the LA area. In addition to the Grove Mall branch here, you can find it at Beverly Grove, Downtown LA, and Glendale Americana Mall.
What's interesting is that you can sometimes see this house's cupcake vending machine... It's a really novel idea, and it might be fun to find it in Beverly Hills and try it out.
#shape
The circle decoration that is the symbol of this house is very pretty.
Unlike other cupcakes, it has a cute concept, so it has the magic of making you want to adopt a puppy and take it home haha.
#taste
Like most American cupcakes, they are very sweet.
It may be too much for those who are sensitive to sweet tastes, but when you eat it, you will feel the combination of American sweetness and soft cake sheet. I tried red velvet and s’mores...
I liked the softness of the red velvet, which was of a higher standard than any other restaurant in Korea (strangely, red velvet in Korea doesn't live up to its name haha, it should be as soft as velvet...), and the s'mores had the taste of marshmallows in the cake, just like making real s'mores. The hidden bitterness of the dark chocolate balances the taste.
Magnolia Cupcakes in New York
Georgetown Cupcakes in Washington DC
And please remember that there is Sprinkles Cupcake in LA haha.

Ordered a gluten free red velvet cupcake from the kiosk. Unfortunately didn’t realize until I drove all the way home that I was given the wrong cupcake (lemon blueberry). Given that there was literally no one else there buying food, I’m not sure how they managed to mess up my order. Thankfully the lemon blueberry was also gluten free so I could still eat it but I definitely didn’t/wouldn’t have paid $5.50 for a blueberry muffin with icing. Love their GF red velvet but this one just wasn’t it. Quality feels like it’s gone down hill since I was last in town.
Dietary restrictions: Two GF cupcake options, GF cookie option, and vegan options.

Sorry but regardless of all the positive reviews, the level of sugar is too much from my point of view

Shout out to Allan at Sprinkles in The Grove. What a divine human, went out of his way to help me make a decision despite my hopeless indecisiveness. Deserves a bonus and a promotion!!
I preordered a 4-piece box of cupcakes and picked it up without any issue. I had to nab cupcakes from the the Honkai: Star Rail collaboration before it ended. When I left The Grove, I realized my online receipt didn’t come with a redemption code. I left a voicemail on a Saturday and Adolfo, the bakery manager followed up on Monday. He helped me out!My cupcake box includes (1) banana, (2) blueberry lemon, and (1) dark chocolate. My favorite was the dark chocolate.

They only have one vegan item, the Red Velvet Cupcake. It's delightful! However, if they're sold out, vegans are out of luck.
The cupcakes are so good!! Like some of the best I’ve had the only thing that it’s expensive which is expected for a business at the grove.
