Twilight Zone does Nightmare on Elm St. What a horror.

Vegetarian options: Disgusting. Do you eat this Godforsaken stuff? Well then don't feed it to my famiglia.

I couldn't be more pleased at the degree with which Smorgasburg LA has taken off, and one of the great culinary gems that's emerged with that growth has been the ability to get some pretty solid BBQ in town. Unfortunately, some logistical challenges and a sub-par product have me thinking that there are much better acts worth standing in line for when compared to Stoked California BBQ. Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? This star is usually a given, and it's well known that Smorgasburg is and should be associated with lines, but Stoked need to get their act together when it comes to being honest about how long people are likely going to be standing in line. I get that it's hard to turn away business, but myself and just about everyone around me were told our food would be out in between 10 and 15 minutes. A full 35 minutes later I had my one taco, and to add some pain into the mix I had to stay close to hear the numbers being called, which left me and many others without a place to hide from the sun. No Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost?$4.00 got me a decent sized tri-tip taco, which was fair. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food?Honestly? I've had some truly stellar BBQ tacos both here in Los Angeles and especially in Texas, and this was a weak taco. There was barely any tri-tip in the mix as you can see from the photo, and the peripherals ended up being distracting versus complimentary given that lack of taco meat. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? From Ugly Drum to Moo's, there are much better meat options at Smorgasburg. No Star.

Absolutely delicious! Love their tri-tip sandwich.
