My salad was DRENCHED in the wrong dressing and was a little hard to eat.But worst of all is that they have an automatic 20% gratuity but then still give you a 15%, 18%, or 20% gratuity option on the iPad WITHOUT letting you know gratuity is already included. That’s so dishonest and they should really be ashamed of themselves. I ended up tipped about 33% for a super disappointing meal where I ordered at a counter.

One day it’s $4 dollars the other day it’s $7 for a side of chicken.The reason for the 3 stars is really just because of the service. (Day time)Not a care in the world.Hire the right people and this place would be one the best coffee spot in town.Disappointing.

This quaint coffee shop has an amazing outdoor space in the back and has a great selection of coffee beverages, alcoholic drinks, and food. They are also well staffed as I'm always greeted warmly when I walk in the door. Megan, in particular, is one of my favorite baristas in LA. It's no wonder they have such a consistent clientele working from home every day.

We tried to go to Fratelli Cafe (right across the street from here) on a Sunday around 1230 and it was an hour wait, so we tried Stone St instead. It was very not busy; there was zero wait and the service was super friendly. There is also a pretty sizeable patio in the back if you want to eat outdoors without being right on Melrose.We tried the mushroom toast (delicious, though $16 is steep for the portion size!) and the breakfast burrito (good, but not mind blowing enough to justify a $16 price either). We had a good experience and by the time we were paying for our meal we had just gotten off the waitlist at Fratelli, so we’re glad we didn’t wait for it! There are some brunch places in LA where we think these types of prices are justified. Stone St is good but we felt a 20-25% haircut on the pricing would be more appropriate for portion sizes and food taste.

Excellent coffee that originated from famed namesake roaster in Brooklyn. This all-day cafe and bar outpost on Melrose Avenue serves artisanal coffee, housemaid cocktails, and an all-day menu of bicoastal-inspired fair. This place is great for your morning coffees or even a late night bevie. The vibe is always immaculate. + the space is absolutely beautiful with the nice open concept + two patios at the front & back of the outpost.

Very busy but great service. The iced mocha coffee was great and not too sweet. I recommend the chorizo hash, perfect hang over meal. My girlfriend ordered the Croque Madame and was very happy with her choice. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
This is one of my favorite coffee places in Los Angeles, CA with great menu items and bakery options. The offer a solid product and the staff is approachable. Plus it's a laid back cafe where you can chill out and enjoy your drink or take it to go.
