This had all the makings of a great burger, but unfortunately it fell down on one of the most important pillars--execution! Specifically, the meat was not well prepared. I'm not sure if I came on an off day, but the quality was lacking; some bites were too dry; some bites were not seasoned well. It's like whatever beef mixture they were using reached the bottom of the barrel and was not fresh. Also, I ordered the patty rare, and it was served medium-well. Ordinarily, I wouldn't make a big fuss about this sort of thing, but they are clearly going for the "elevated" burger experience at a premium $17 price point, and at those levels they really need to deliver flawlessly, every time. I also felt that the burger was a bit on the small side. I could fit the entire sandwich in one hand. The rest of the composition was actually quite good. I tried their signature "Stout," which comes with blue cheese, Gruyère, bacon, grilled onions, tomatoes, and a horseradish sauce. Each element complements the others really well, without any one becoming overwhelming. Flavor wise, it's all there. I just wish the patty pulled its own weight! I also tried the loaded fries, which were delicious. Specifically, whatever cheese they use melts perfectly over fresh, hot, crispy fries, and had a consistency that was not too runny and not too thick. The Goldilocks of melted cheese! These were also pricey at $9 though, and the portion was also on the small side. Overall, I'm glad that I tried what is allegedly one of the "best burgers in LA," but I won't be running back.

First time here at first a little put off by the vibe. I was recommended this place by the hotel person when my daughter wanted a burger and fries. However upon entering I clearly saw that this place was not wheel chair friendly nor a place to bring children. My 10 year old daughter said they have nothing without stinky aged cheddar. I couldn’t help but laugh and the vibe changed the waitress came by with a nice smile and reassured my baby that they indeed could make her a burger without aged cheddar. Poof happy and sweet potato fries so amazing. As for me I had a Mother Earth for dinner. It was beyond amazing. Her name was Danielle cutie ginger my daughter said. Worth the trip because of the satff..

Went with my partner in crime and we enjoyed the wide variety of burgers to choose from. Overall it was tasty and a cozy atmosphere. We were both exhausted so we might have to go try it again soon

The menu makes things difficult. Everything sounds so good that it's hard to choose. The good thing is you can never make a bad choice. Nice atmosphere and good service. I'd go back a thousand times.

Unpretentious decor but ambitious and great burgers. Im old school when it comes to burgers so I had "Mr America", a classic burger with cheese, red onion, ketchup, tomato, lettuce and great buns. With that classic fries (great!) And a classic lager (Im not into IPA's). Friendly and service minded staff - Overall very satiesfied. I recommend this place.

I just finished lunch here with my girlfriends, we had burgers and beers and everything was excellent. What I loved most was that the burgers were unique with things like rosemary and different cheeses. I had the chicken burger which also had peppers and crispy onions and bbq sauce and it was delicious. The four of us split cheese fries, which had Parmesan and it was fantastic ! The best part is that the two servers, Patrick & Justin were super friendly like we were family . They gave us several splashes of beer to try from their 32 on tap beers! It's just a block off of Hollywood Boulevard. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the Hollywood area. I'll definitely return without a doubt!

I found Stout Burgers & Beer through Yelp because I was going to a show at the Pantages and needed somewhere to eat that was walking distance from the Pantages. We were seated immediately at 6pm on Thursday. The inside of the restaurant is pretty small with bar seating and tables. The tables are mostly for parties of 2-4. The service was quick and friendly. We ordered a beer on tap, 2 burgers, and a side of tater tots. The Stout burger had more flavor than the Goombah. The truffle flavor was subtle on the Goombah. The overall flavor of the burgers were both very good. I would have enjoyed a less thick bun. The tater tots were excellent. They were crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. I enjoyed my first visit to Stout. It is a fun spot to grab a burger and beer at!
