Sugar bloom has some of the best croissants I've ever had. My go to chocolate almond croissant is car artisan chocolate in Pasadena but usually by the time I get there they're sold out most of the time so I've been on the looking for another place to get my croissant fix and I can safely say I've found it. You have to order two days in advance and pickup before 3pm but it's worth it for sure. Everything I got was good and I plan on trying the rest of their offerings over the next few weeks. The lady at the door was also super friendly. The store was easy to find but parking was kind of hard to find when I went at 1pm.

This is not a cafe! You can order pickup with advance notice. No frills, wholesale. Pastries are amazing.

Ilove SugarBloom Bakery!!!My wife and I love the bake-at-home plain croissants and chocolate croissants. It is the best combo, waking up to fresh croissants every morning would be the best way to start your day!!!Did I mention I love SugarBloom Bakery, some favorites mine are: Sesame Pretzel Croissant (vegan), White Miso Kouign-Amann, Spam & Kimchi Croissant, Miso Butterscotch and Triple Threat Chocolate chunk cookies, of course the plain/ chocolate/ham and cheese croissants. Some items I want to try is the chocolate hazelnut croissant, vegan everything croissant. Anything else I should try?

went to Sugarbloom Cakery and Coffee twice in one week. The first time we had the churro cheesecake and strawberry refresher. Both we amazing! The churro cheesecake was divine. The second time I got a caramel latte and was able to pick up the most beautiful bouquet of flowers from Pop of Blooms. Both times the staff were friendly and helpful and the shop is absolutely adorable!

Kimchi spam croissant & matcha strawberry danish are really good. I wish the white miso kouign amann was a bit smaller in size as it is difficult to eat (trying to get the carmelized bottom layer and the white miso filling in the same bite). Otherwise, really good pastries!

This bakery provides pastries to my local coffee shop. The coffee is fine but the pastries are so insanely good that I keep coming back every day. Try the bacon biscuit and especially the PRETZEL CROISSANT, it is God-tier.

There are some foods in this world that are worth putting in effort to enjoy. Pineapples are spiky and require basic knife skills to get at the golden fruit inside. Artichokes are spine-filled and tough then tender and delicious with a little butter & garlic. Pomegranates are a huge mess. All of these require drive, planning and often practice before you can derive a truly enjoyable experience from them. To not belabor the metaphor Sugarbloom has some terrific offerings crafted by people who know how to bake. If you are a fan of slow-food (like 48 hours slow) AND have the foresight to plan ahead AND don't mind shelling out $5+ for a single pastry AND can remember to go hunting for a not-particularly-obvious door on a day where you have no pressing meetings scheduled right afterward AND the patience to find a decent cup of something warm (and maybe go shopping for the good butter/jam) to enjoy with your fancy pastry then I'm sure this place is a delight. As it stands, it's just a little too much effort for not enough payoff. Credit to them for trying to keep the slow food movement alive and (I'm guessing here) finding a way to sell direct to consumers during a pandemic. But honestly you're probably better served finding one of the many coffee shops they deliver to and enjoying their goods there when you want them and with a nice drink to go with it.

sugar bloom croissants are fantastic and very consistent. We get them every week and they are always excellent!! The people who make them are to be congratulated on the effort and care they obviously put in. They are as good as and mostly better than you can get in France.

I'm a little torn on writing this review, given that it's been well over a year since I last had them, and all my favorites back then don't seem to be items they carry any longer, but in the interest of posterity:* Tasty bakery in Glassell that only allows for pre-order pickups* Can find their pastries scattered through the larger SoCal region at various coffee shops* Laminated pastries are all done quite well, and generally, not terribly sweet, with few exceptions like the white miso kouign-amann* They used to have a large selection of scones, as well as more sweet pastries (including rotating cruffin flavors) that were all quite amazing

These girls make incredible baked goods! I feel so honored to have them in the neighborhood to provide us with perfectly laminated croissants and scrumptious kougin aman. Order in advance and pick up only. Totally worth it..

What? How have I not reviewed this place? This is my gold standard for croissants and I'm still mad that Blue Bottle stopped carrying them. Luckily, they're still carried by places like Highlight Coffee and a couple local places in Culver City. You can find a list of carriers on their website and it is absolutely worth patronizing one of the listed coffee shops to try their pastries. That being said, all their pastries are solid... even their vegan stuff. I don't know what goes into or how it tastes so good but it makes me question my apprehension towards vegan food. Now the absolute best thing about Sugarbloom is that they offer take and bake croissants. You can order their ready made croissants OR a pack of frozens on their website and pick a day to pickup. If you love their croissants, think about how amazing they are fresh out of the oven. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can compare to waking up to a warm croissant. You can order ahead and pickup a frozen 6 pack at their headquarters and it makes me regret not living on the eastside. Parking: Free Street Parking, but limited. You text them when you're in front of the door and ready to pickup your order and they bring it out.

I am obsessed with Sugarbloom's gluten free chocolate donut. I get mine at Civil Coffee in Studio City, but I'm now on the hunt for all the other locations where they sell too. It's so moist and has that chocolatey glaze that I loved as a kid. Back when I ate gluten. Love all they do to create delicious treats for folks like me with food allergies.

Best hidden gem pastries in Glassell park! I found SB pastries through our local Civil Coffee pastry showcase. My faves are almond strawberry croissant, chocolate croissant, and the chocolate chip cookie w sea salt. I got excited and got a selection for the holidays and nearly kept everything to ourselves lol ;-D The pastry chef is Asian and the flavors really shine from the miso cookie, to the matcha donut and the seasonal matcha dipped croissant wc was a Valentines special. Pickup is seamless w texting instructions and text upon arrival to notify curbside pickup. The pastries and cookies are always consistent and can hold for a couple days but you probably won't need that long! :-) Stay blooming SB!
