Good not bad
The place is packed, the line is long, the toilet paper is out, the price is high, the shaved ice is okay. It’s not worthy for the wait and the price.
Mango shaved ice is better than the strawberry one. Black sesame shaved ice is too sweet.
Injeolmi toast is very good and quote sweet from the honey. Injeolmi bingsoo is good but it's mostly ice shavings. I wish it had more rice cake and powder
Not enough seating. The place is always crowded. The food tastes so delicious.

Almost always busy and/or messy but good bingsoo, even if it’s $15+

Quality dessert, poor service. Watch out for the rude table boy telling you to go wait outside x5
when you already have a table.
good | self service | cozy
Tastier than Korean Sulbing. It is a cost-effective mall as parking tickets are provided separately.

I’m a huge fan of bingsoo, and my friend insisted I check out Sul & Beans. It’s located in K-town, and they have a few tables right by the store, perfect if you want to bring your dog along!
The ordering process was simple, and they offer free parking validation, which is a nice bonus.
We ordered the Mango Bingsoo and Green Tea Toast. The Mango Bingsoo was just average, sadly. Nothing really stood out—maybe the mango wasn’t great that day or they only use fresh ones. The dish itself lacked flavor, which was a bit disappointing. However, the Green Tea Toast was a different story! It was thick, filled with mochi inside, and served warm. The perfect pastry!

This was my first visit to Sul & Beans, as I was searching for a solid shaved ice option in LA since my favorite spot closed. This place has a lot of positive reviews, so I figured it was worth a trek to Ktown.
Overall, I enjoyed it and would return. Was I in love with the shaved ice? Not really. The texture was off from what I expected, so I'm trying to balance reviewing the quality of the item with acknowledging those expectations. Simply put, I've had better. I ended up opting for the strawberry one. The ice was so dry and flavorless, and you absolutely needed the sweet cream (?) drizzle that they provide on the side to enhance the flavor. There were plenty of strawberries on and in the shaved ice, and they topped it off with some delicious rice cakes. 😋
I will also say that there were so many creative options, and the person taking my order was super nice in helping me navigate the menu. I'd come back to try another flavor, but I think I simply prefer a different style of shaved ice altogether. Just my preference.

Mango Bingsu is the best!!! The strawberry one is good too, but the strawberries were out of season so a little sour. One is big enough to share between 4 people.

Love their shaved ice with red beans. What makes this shaved ice special is that it is made with milk.

The staff here is really hit and miss and half the time, they're nowhere to be found. And when they are there, most of them will be slicing up fruit with their backs toward the counter and ignoring customers until one finally decides they can't pretend they can't hear the customer asking for help.
Also, the amount of fruit/toppings you get in your order depends on who's making it. I ordered the green grape bingsoo twice. The first time, it looked exactly like the promo pictures. The second time, it had 6 grape halves - which if you can't do math is 3 whole grapes for an entire order. I don't know if they didn't have enough grapes but when I mentioned the lack of grapes, they just shrugged.
It's a shame cause when they're properly made - they are really good and will even pack up orders to go but the lack of service and hit and miss bingsoo orders are making me look for another place to get my bingsoo fix.

It is almost always busy.
I love their injeolmi, and black sesame bingsoo. You can order a takeout to avoid competing for a table. They can provide a disposable cooler bag.
Parking: Free parking with a validation.
