Highlights of the food: ribeye steak was good, great for sharing too. Tuna kimbap is a must. The raw shrimp wasn’t worth it.

I’ll start by saying I’m generally not the biggest fan of fusion cuisine—it often ends up confusing my palate more than impressing it—and this experience didn’t really change that for me. The restaurant also gave off a bit of a judgmental vibe based on appearance. I wasn’t dressed poorly, just in athleisure, but it definitely felt like we were treated differently compared to other tables.
We ordered the Australian Wagyu Beef Kimbap, Korean Fried Chicken Wings, and the slow-roasted baby back ribs. The wings came with two sauces, neither of which I particularly enjoyed. One was slightly better since it wasn’t as sweet, but overall the sauces didn’t work for me. I did appreciate that the wings were fried without batter. The ribs were flavorful, though the coleslaw was disappointing—which was a letdown since I usually love coleslaw.
Parking: Since it’s located inside Westfield Century City, parking is in paid structures.
Service: Just okay. We had a 1:30 pm reservation and arrived around 1:20 pm but weren’t seated until 1:45 pm. Normally that wouldn’t be a big deal, but there’s very little space at the entrance to wait, so it felt awkward just standing there. Once seated, it took another 15 minutes before service really began (with the puff crackers), and we had to flag down our waiter to get water refills.
Best Part: The Australian Wagyu Beef Kimbap. I’d honestly come back just to order this for takeout.
Worst Part: The service.
Would I return? No.

Overpriced and Underwhelming Service
We came here for a family birthday. The decor is lovely—cute, clean, and modern.
The food was hit-or-miss for the high price tag. Highlights were the mushroom noodle, chicken wings, and lychee cocktail. The baby back ribs and filet mignon were underwhelming given the cost.
The service, however, was a failure. Our filet mignon arrived 30 minutes late after we inquired about it twice. Worse, they offered to take it off the bill but did not follow through. We were also incorrectly charged for an item we never ordered (crushed potatoes). For a restaurant with a famous chef, the prices are not justified by the quality of service or the inconsistent food.

The food lacked flavor, but it made up for it by being very expensive. Super Peach was a big disappointment.
There were six of us for a birthday celebration, so we sampled a broad selection from the menu. The appetizers were served with two sauces, a gochujang based slightly spicy sauce and a honey soy sauce. These were tasty, but the dishes that they accompanied were not.
We had the waygu and the tuna kimbaps. The waygu kimbap was so devoid of flavor, that the sauces could not help it. It seemed that it had not been seasoned at all. The tuna version, which was described as very spicy, had just a touch of heat, but it was pretty good.
The savory donut didn’t seem to be very donut-like, but it was the best thing we had. The pork belly was one of the worst, being overcooked and not very tasty. The chicken wings and the cesar salad rounded out the appetizers, and both were lacking in flavor and character.
The chicken and the baby-back mains were also overcooked and underseasoned to the point of being dry and devoid of flavor.
I think that the desserts were okay, but by that point, I had lost interest.
I had really expected an excellent meal here. I have one of David Chang‘s cookbooks, and everything that I have cooked from that book has been very tasty. I think that I expected that this Restaurant would be able to execute at least as well as I can. That didn’t happen.

So this is a new concept that just opened in Century City mall. In a sea of overpriced, watered down, “elevated mall” fare, this place is a revelation. The quality of Momofuku, in an accessible environment. Simon and Justin, the bartenders, are delightful and extremely competent. Every dish we ordered, including sides, was a flavor explosion. As much as I hate going to the mall, we can’t wait to come back here.

Completely empty and host refused to sit my daughter and I for some appetizers. I don’t think they want customers. Rude!

My first time here and I will be back next week. Dish for dish was the best meal I’ve had as a food it visitor to LA in years. Thank you Erlene and Raquel for an extremely delicious evening

We were looking forward to eating here and brought our friend visiting LA for AFM. My partner and I ordered individual quinoa salads and wanted to split a salon filet. (I’m in cancer recovery so I watch my portions.) Waiter made a mistake and only brought one salad and then the smallest two squares of salmon I’ve seen in my life. He literally served my partner the tiny square as if that were a sane meal. When I ordered a tea, server quickly told me there are no refills which felt like passive aggressive info for the prices on the menu. The salad was fine, the atmosphere is definitely mall, and the service left much to be desired. Meh.

Average food that is overpriced. I expected more from a $145 meal for two people. Sesame marinated cucumber was decent. Fried chicken gimbap was good, but not balanced and was overly salty when combined with the dipping sauce. Mushroom noodles were decent, but the noodles were too firm. And the sea bass was nicely cooked, but I would've liked a crispy skin and the broccoli was undercooked. None of the sauces or marinades were exciting. The food was okay, but nothing special. I'd skip this place.

Had a reservation, sat down for over 20 minutes no one came by to even bring you water. Too bad the NY Momofuku is great but I’d skip this one until they get better staff

A really unique and delicious place to eat. The food is very good, there’s a wide variety and the servers are friendly and professional. Liked it a lot and will go back again and again.
