Best sushi I have ever had! Such a special place.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY on their signature hand roll! I saw their reel on Instagram showcasing this hand roll with uni, chopped toro, scallop and truffle. This is what I got in reality - uni, truffle and scallop was decent; but the amount of toro was almost pathetic, let alone the suspicious brown color. Looks like they used the “toro” that cannot be served in other dishes and just chopped it up and jam it in there. Also they forgot about this hand roll for a solid 15min after our other food was served. Nonetheless, other food we ordered was decent quality.

The fish must be bad. I got sick, nauseous, and threw up multiple times 15 minutes after consumption.

Go for their happy hour at 5pm. It’s a great deal on some of their best items and beers.

The short answer is that the sushi was great. Come here if you are interested in multiple variations of Toro, fish sourced from Japan, and a very creative searing program. Beyond that, I found myself really enjoying the atmosphere. The ambiance of the restaurant is fantastic from the lighting to the wood to the plates to their focus on presenting the food in the best way possible. This really was a feast for the eyes. Heartily recommended.

As soon as you come in, you’re giving a big welcome, everybody that works there is so attentive and really nice. Japanese kosher just does service much better, and you feel that here in the restaurant. The ambience and design of the restaurant is stunning Japanese design.

The sushi here is elevated, each roll has a combination of many subtle flavors. My favorite is the lemon roll & Unagi.

Finally got to try Sushi Enya and was pleasantly surprised. Super friendly staff, modern and cozy interior and most of all very fresh fish. We haven't had uni this caliber in a long time, go Sanata Barbara uni!

Left Sushi Enya so satisfied! We went in on a Monday night at around 8:30 pm and the restaurant was pretty empty by then. The service was extremely quick, the food was so fresh and delicious, and they even gave us two black sesame puddings on the house! (They had run out of the black sesame ice cream.) We ordered the sashimi plate, aburi salmon belly, dragon roll, and spicy tuna on crispy rice. Everything tasted amazing! Staff and servers were also so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back! 💯🍣

Our experience at Sushi Enya was absolutely amazing the service was incredible, and the foood was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the flavors were outstanding. We have an unforgettable Valentin’s dinner, made even more special by the exceptional service from both the waitstaff and the chefs. Their attention to detail and hospitality truly made the night perfect. Highly recommend this place.

Sushi shop on Sawtelle. Decent food, mixture of traditional and newer stuff. Some dishes are done solid like chefs sashimi and some nigiri, others are ok- such as rolls. Good sale selection. Can get loud at busy hours. Location is convenient but parking is hard in this area in general.

Went in for dinner to celebrate our 6 year olds birthday. The person I spoke with on the phone to make the reservation was exceptionally nice and helpful, and was there to greet us when we arrived. While I don’t want to dismiss the food in this review (everything was tasty), the standout part of our evening was the staff. They were extremely friendly and helpful and made our experience great. The chefs behind the counter also brought a warmth and friendliness to our evening. Enjoyed the food, but the service experience is what will get me to go back. Thank you to the whole team for taking the time to make our dining experience so much fun.
