I will agree with another person's review about the cleaning solution smell. It was strange to me. BUT I will say that I'd rather have it clean than a funky dirty smell.
That aside, Mom had Chiriashi A and sister had Chiriashi B. The presentation was lovely and it was a good amount. I had the Nabeyaki udon and it was great.
Surprised that they do not offer Gyoza, but we figured that our meal would be plenty enough. They surprisingly brought out FREE appetizers a small amount of potato salad and two other items. That was a nice treat.
Is this place fancy? no. Is is a hidden gem, I think so. It is low key, unpretentious and we were all happy with our meal. We are Japanese and appreciated the quality of food provided here.

Ordered chirashi bowl combo for around $32
and food was terrible. Quality and portion of sushi was unacceptable. It doesn’t look anything close to pictures you see on Yelp Menu.I would never order again.

It's a hole in the wall sushi place. I have to admit the prices are pretty good for sushi

Upon arrival theres a pungent cleaning solution smell at the establishment which makes the entire experience unpleasant to begin with. Server was nice and took our orders right away, but it took 35 minutes for the meals to come out. The table next to us was also disgruntled. The salmon color looks more vibrant than im used to. The chirashi dinner portion was also small compared to the ones i usually go. Overall not into it. Took way too long for food and quality is lower than average. Will not come back.

Omg, you can’t ask for a better sushi experience. The chef spend time explaining where the food source are from, and he treat each piece of sushi seriously. Strongly recommended!

A top 3 LA sushi restaurant, probably one of the closest to authentic Japanese sushi. Definitley some of the best little Tokyo has to offer. The sushi plate was fresh and with subtle flavors in the fish.

This spot is the bomb!!! Spicy Salmon, Spicy Tuna, Octopus, and Chirachi Box. You gotta try it! When you come to the door, please wait to be seated. And be nice. I witnessed an impatient meathead try to storm in. Geeeez.... He definitely missed out on some great sushi.
