If you think places like sushi note omakase is good, this small intimate restaurant blows it away. Yes it is expensive, but the quality of the fish, the rice and the service is fantastic. Not for sushi novices.

I go here often, and the quality of the servers is amazing. It's a sushi restaurant with a Japanese feel that not only tastes good, but also has courteous hospitality that makes you want to come back and introduce it to others.

This was beyond fabulous. One of the best omakase's I've ever had with delicate attention to detail by the chef and warm, welcoming service throughout the evening. Five Stars plus!

Sushi Miyagi was the most intimate and pleasant omakase dining experience my husband and I have ever had. The sushi chef is classically trained from Osaka and the kind, attentive host is his wife. It is a family-owned restaurant and the entire time we were there, it was just the two of them. Being that there were no other guests at the time we dined, it allowed us to get to know the family as the wonderful individuals they are. The food was unique and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed some of the best sake I ever had the pleasure of trying, outside of Japan. I definitely recommend making a reservation to be taken on a journey, tasting a series of delicious dishes through this authentic omakase experience.

Impeccable food and service. The chef/owner and his wife provided 2-1/2 hours of an exceptional experience watching the omakase dinner unfold. It was worth every penny. Food was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm baffled how I was able to make a reservation so easily. The quality of the dining experience and the top-tier sushi in Los Angeles should have prevented obtaining a reservation without waking up early on Saturday morning to play the reservation-lottery when the new, hottest restaurant releases the select few seats for the month. I will be dining with Chef Miyagi as many times as I can afford until the rest of the City catches on and hopelessly jams the place.

By far the best sushi experience I've ever had. Each piece is explained thoroughly and feels personal. It feels like eating in the home of close friends.

Everything about this restaurant was perfection. The place is very intimate with only 6 counter seats. Miho greeted us at the door and was extremely attentive throughout the night. She suggested sake which paired perfectly with the meal. We had the whole place to ourselves and got special treatment by the chef, Shin. We were lucky to get last minute reservations and were pleasantly surprised by this jewel we didn't even know was in our neighborhood. The OMAKASE was one of the BEST I have ever had! We got to try fish we had never heard of. Each dish was meticulously prepared and made with love. And the homemade ice cream was to die for. If you appreciate top notch sushi, this is a must try!You will not regret it.

First time here, I love how fresh the fishes are and able to taste the difference in them. Good portion, great service, chef is really nice too. We will definitely be back!

Michelin star quality restaurant. Best kept secret on the west side. I had the best shirako today.

It was such a delightful experience with the Chef. He is very knowledgeable of his cuts and different types of fish. Every piece was made to perfection! Service was great also. Will definitely be coming back.

Amazing service and amazing food. I was used to eating dragon rolls but Miyagi literally open my world around omakase and real sushi. Never going back to the places that offer rolls. Miya go is super private and the r best place to organize a 5/6 party omakese meal.

The food was really delicious . The husband and wife owners were super nice. The sushi tasted like if I was in Japan eating at a very high end restaurant. I highly recommended having omakase.

Best Omakase in Los Angeles so far! The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating to my last minute reservation. The food was amazing. I enjoyed every piece. The setting is quaint with only 6 total seats at the omakase bar.I would highly recommend Sushi MIYAGI to anyone looking for a high-end authentic omakase experience.
