We had the Omakase here. It was pretty good. There were a couple of things we didn’t like as we thought the fishe wasn’t fresh but most of the sushi was good. Their desert menu was delicious.

We had the table omakase and it was the best sushi I have ever had in my life. I am now so spoiled by this experience I don’t think I can ever enjoy “regular” sushi again. Highly recommend!

We had an incredible omakase experience at Sushi Tama with the head chef, and it truly blew us away. From the moment it started, it felt like so much more than just a meal. It was a full experience.
Every course was thoughtful, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. For the first time outside of Japan, we felt that familiar combination of precision, respect for ingredients, and deep attention to detail that makes omakase so special. The flavors, textures, and pacing of the meal reminded us of memorable experiences we have had in Japan, which is not easy to find.
You can really feel the passion and craftsmanship behind every bite, and the interaction with the head chef made the evening even more special. If you are looking for an authentic omakase experience that goes beyond great sushi and into something truly memorable, Sushi Tama is a must.

The sushi and sashimi were excellent, as always. However, despite being a returning customer and spending over $210 on sushi just for myself—more than the price of their omakase—I was told I could not sit at the sushi counter. The restriction felt unnecessary and not very customer-minded, especially given that the counter seats were empty. It was frustrating and took away from an otherwise great meal.

Absolutely phenomenal omakase experience, authentic and traditional courses served by the kindest man named Riki, skilled in the art and very entertaining. That man can cut fish with great precision, and offer flavors that just melt in the mouth, coat the stomach and hug all the insides. Can’t believe he’s just the dishwasher, they really train everybody!

We waited quite a while for someone to take our order. We waited too long to get our order. My wife’s sukiyaki tasted like a neighbor made it. I ordered the Northwest sushi and it looked like it came from a grocery store. It tasted a little better. Quite disappointing overall.

Located across The Henry on Robertson, this intimate sushi spot was the perfect destination for our bookclub dinner night. We ordered everything our server recommended and by the end were so full! Food, ambiance and customer service was 5/5. Special shoutout to our server Naoko who not only went above and beyond with recommendations but great mannerisms when our table time limit was coming up and she even helped our friend with the baby stroller down the steps. Lastly their dessert ice cream sandwich was so unique I would recommend everyone try that. Cheers!

One of my best sushi places. Food quality is excellent. Many items are flown from Japan. The rice is as it should be and service and staff are excellent!
Ask for specials not on the menu.

Great spot! We sat outside on the patio. It was very warm thanks to the heaters. The staff was friendly and the food was delicious!

If you’re in Beverly Hills and love sushi, Sushi Tama is an absolute must.
My son went all in with the omakase experience and it was perfection from start to finish each piece felt like a small work of art, balanced and memorable. You could taste the chef’s care in every bite.
I ordered off the menu and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Everything they prepared was not only beautifully presented but also melt-in-your-mouth delicious. It’s rare to find a place where the service, creativity and quality all line up perfectly.
From the atmosphere to the attentive staff to the food itself, Sushi Tama exceeded every expectation. Whether you’re sitting down for omakase or just exploring beyond the menu, this spot delivers a truly special experience.
We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

What an experience !
The staff, food, ambiance - all amazing.
I have never had sushi like this. They take so much care in both quality and presentation. You won't go a minute needing something, they check on you at all the appropriate times.
I can't say enough good things.
Worth every last penny, it is more of an experience than just a meal.

Sushi was average at best. Read great things about it but felt mislead, which is why I decided to leave a review. I rarely do this and take no pleasure in giving a negative review but felt blindsided by the poor quality of the food. The service was disappointing and the busboy was intrusive as well.
