Every single one of the 18 courses was amazing. Do the omakase if you are able.

Made a reservation for the omakase at Sushi Tama, and the experience was incredible. Each course was well thought-out and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere inside was lovely, filled with folks enjoying their time but not too loud or overwhelming. Chef Yoshimoto's incredibly talented, and we'll absolutely be coming back.If you're looking for a high-quality omakase in LA, this is the place.

Very reasonably priced omakase. I was serviced few courses of appetizers before going to Nigiri. Kegani was excellent. Shari was made great, right temperature, right tightness and right amount of rice. Maguro from Spain, but less oily and good quality. Katsuo was excellent. RecommendedBack again

We are in ❤️ with all the unique options at Sushi Tama. Every dish was excellent. Our server made great recommendations to appease our adventurous appetites. I particularly love the touch of "choose a sake glass" from the treasure box. Calm, patio vibes. Lovely, thoughtful service, and an authentic Japanese toilet that salutes you upon entering the bathroom (IYKYK ?).Arigato, Chefs, for an excellent first meal during our stay in LA!

Everything about the experience was great. However, person who greets you was anything but friendly. I'm not one to write reviews, but the restaurant was too amazing to have such unfriendly people greeting their customers.

one of the best omakases we have had in LA (ex-NYC here) and supreme service. it’s $100 table vs $180 counter for omakase which is probably why the counter is not packed everyday (we couldn’t understand why!). they have outdoor tables too. park at 141 Robertson in the garage. it’s free for the first 2 hours then $3 after!

Came here for the sushi counter omakase, and it was a great experience! From the hostess checking us in, to the staff clearing each plate, to the lady prepping everything in the back, each server, and each chef behind the sushi counter preparing each plate, I applaud everyone! Everyone was very lovely and hospitable. Also, the ambiance of the restaurant is great. It was bright, clean, and not too "brown". We had a bottle of Sake with our omakase, and we were able to pick out our own cup. That was fun! You can tell each item is prepped with love and care. The sweet and thick soy sauce (made since opening so its been years) brings out the flavors of the dishes. And then there is a unique plate with a spicy "salsa" type topping, and wow that was a hit with the rest of the parties (they ordered again afterwards). For me, I really enjoyed the eel. I personally do not like eel in sushi or omakase, but Chef Yoshi and team has prepared the eel for 2 hours, and the thickness of the eel was perfect and it legit MELTS in your mouth. We ordered another plate after the end of the meal. The dessert is also bomb. Usually wafer ice cream sandwiches have a thick wafer shell, but this one is perfectly sized with a thick vanilla ice cream covered in a thin wafer. It was the perfect bite to the wafer, and a fun thick bite into the ice cream. I don't know how to explain it but the ratio was perfect and I wish I could eat like 10 of them. I would definitely come again! Thank you Chef Yoshi and team!

How often can you eat somewhere and say it has changed your life? Sushi Tama will do just that. The chef, Yoshi, was so kind and sweet during our omakase dinner service on my birthday, and every dish served we just an actual masterpiece of food. The servers were also very kind and matched us with sake that suited our very varied palettes. I loved that we got to pick our sake cups with each new bottle. It's obviously pricey but with the omakase you really get what you pay for. Each dish was a perfected form of art. I wish I could give it 6 stars. Can't wait to go back!

My fiancé and I were celebrating our 7 year anniversary and we heard about this place from social media. We were able to make a day of reservation for Thursday evening at the sushi bar. We really wanted to try the omakase experience so we were happy to see that the sushi bar had reservations available. Parking is typical West Hollywood parking which can be difficult but we were able to find a metered spot after driving around for 5 minutes. The hostess immediately seated us upon check in and the sushi chef greeted us with a big smile. I can't remember the names of all the sushi but they did not stop coming. We loved seeing each piece get built right in front of us and you could see how fresh the fish was. I have to say the uni was my favorite. We had the opportunity to reorder any of the dishes that were served to us but we were already very full. We wrapped it up with a cream puff which tasted delicious. Overall, I would come back but for the a la carte menu as the omakase experience was pretty pricey.

Fantastic sushi! FANTASTIC SERVICE! Never had this quality of fish in America. Delicate, subtle and light! I had a 10 piece nigiri for lunch special, you will never find anything close to this level of deliciousness, OUTSTANDING!
