I have been a Sweetfinn customer for the last 2 months, ordering at least once a week, they are losing my business now.My visit to Sweetfinn left a notably negative impression due to a regrettable encounter with one of the cashiers. Despite having placed an order through the Sweetfinn app and arriving within the designated pick-up window, I faced an issue with the cashier. Who incorrectly asserted that I was over an hour late for the pick-up, insisting that the appointed time was 12:08 when in reality, it was scheduled for 12:28.Upon informing the cashier of the correct pick-up time, he conveniently introduced a new 45-minute late policy and refused to allow me to pick up the order and provide a refund. The encounter was further aggravated by the cashier's rude and condescending demeanor. His repeated use of the phrase “Do you understand," delivered in a highly condescending tone, suggested a lack of respect and understanding. This not only created a frustrating and unpleasant experience but also indicated a disregard for customer service. This was particularly troubling as it gave the impression of xenophobic behavior. It left me with the strong impression that the cashier was assuming I did not understand English.Overall, based on this encounter, I would strongly advise against ordering or purchasing food from Sweetfinn, especially for individuals who may face language barriers, as the cashier's behavior suggested a lack of sensitivity and understanding towards non-English speakers.Save yourself some time and energy and go to the restaurant across the street, where you can eat good poke and be treated with basic respect, as any customer should.

idk why they don’t have just regular white rice because their bamboo rice is so wierd and texturally off. the forbidden rice is better but it’s kinda still like can you just be normal please - sometimes… things that are fancy… are worse…the fish is really good tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

cute packaging, but go eat somewhere else in westwood. the portion size of a small poke bowl is soo small for the price, and the mango in mine was so very mid. cucumber salad is pretty spicy, and sushi burrito is unique i guess

I love Sweetfin- I have been a huge fan for several years.I used to order the large (4.5 ounce protein), rather than the small (2.5 ounce protein) and add extra protein (3 ounces), for a total of 7.5 ounces. But I never used to finish the rice. So, I switched to ordering the small and adding protein (total 5.5 ounce), but I would find I still needed something to eat after that.Today, I ordered the large without adding extra protein and I feel very satisfied. It was a perfect amount for me.My order:Large BYOB bowl ($15.90)Base (up to 3 options) : forbidden rice, coconut rice, and kelp noodle slaw)Protein (up to 2 options): yellowfin tuna (4.5 ounces)Sauces (up to 3): yuzu koshu, add extra, on the sideFree toppings (up to 6): cilantro, chili orange, cucumber, pickled ginger, pineapple, seaweed saladOptions: No sesame seedsCons:There was some black marks on the inside of my bowl- probably from where they handled the bowl.I took my order to go, but after leaving, I realized they forgot the pickled ginger and they added sesame seeds.Similar things have occurred in the past, and for that reason, I deducted a star. However. I feel that I am partially to blame for not noticing before I left.Pros:They completed my order on time (I placed it through the app). The staff working there was helpful and had good customer service. The food is delicious!

I had a gift card to use here and tried to order online for pickup but couldn't figure out how to checkout with a gift card on their app. I went in store to order and the two guys working told me their system in store hasn't been able to take giftcards for over a year so just fyi if you plan on using a Sweetfin gift card here. You have to select credit card and then it gives you the option to add gift card...took us awhile to figure out. Anyway, I got the yuzu salmon bowl and the guava lemonade. Honestly everything was very bland and not very flavorful. There are probably better poke spots out there. The best part about this place are the employees. The two guys working the front were so nice and patient and willing to go above and beyond to help. I wish I got their names so I could give them a shout out. There were some tables outside to dine outside. One thing that I found weird was that they don't make the bowl in front of you they make it in the back. I've never been to a poke place that didn't have everything in displays out front where you choose exactly what you want. Parking is street parking.

Got the small build your own bowl and it tasted pretty average. The portion size was tiny for the price. They have plenty of vegan options available which is great and the ingredients tasted fresh. The store itself is quite small with maybe 2 tables inside and 2 tables outside. There is street side paid parking as well as a paid parking garage at a walking distance.

The cashiers smoke cigarettes outside and serve you food right after. This is a code violation which should be reported asap.

Tried to eat here the other day, but there was no one at the cash register even though there were several people preparing food in the kitchen. Then I noticed the sign that said “online only”. Ok, sure, maybe the pandemic changed their customer service approach since many of the other reviews for this place were written — so I open up my phone and go to their website, only to get several errors when navigating around and choosing my order. Then when I go to pay, I’m prompted to create an account with the food ordering client that they use. Goodness, not worth it! Sometimes I just want to order with a real human instead of jumping through digital hoops and giving out my email to random companies. I ended up leaving and eating at one of the other restaurants close by.

I got food poisoning after eating there about two months ago. Another member of my family ate there yesterday despite my warnings, and has ended up with food poisoning too. This place which I used to frequent often in the past, has changed a lot. Based on other reviews reporting food poisoning, I think the health department needs to into this.

I was so pleasantly surprised by the intentionality of the workers I encountered here today. They were so sweet and helpful when my app was not working properly. Thank you Eric and Mariana!

Made my purchase through uber eats and timeliness and accuracy of the order was perfect. The quality of the fish tasted freshI was completely shocked to see they added the box to the menu as I know this style serving became popular from another location in DTLA. Spicy tuna is made differently than I'm used to but overall I'm pleased with the service and quality of the food here. Deff will be back
