TABL M is exactly what DTLA needs more of!! It’s a total hidden gem where the owners treat you like family the moment you walk in. There’s a genuine sense of community here where fellow guests actually strike up conversations with one another! We tried the shish taouk, muhammara, and batenjein mekleh, and every bite was incredible. You can really taste the high quality of the ingredients - it’s clear the food is prepared with a lot of thought and love, can’t recommend it enough!!

It is a rare and special thing indeed to be able to have a delicious dinner in downtown that feels uniquely at home and extremely high quality, with pride and attentive detail found in every bite. Every single ingredient for every dish was clearly sourced with thoughtfulness and no corner cutting; you can taste it in the choice of olive oil on top of the dips, the way that bread is handmade and wood fire oven baked to order, and the timing of everything is brought out together to complement the best flavors. Huge thank you to Chef Muna and Joe for dinner; this is an excellent place to bring friends, family, and anyone who is in the mood for a meal that feels like you have stepped into the home of a great chef.

Hands down, the best shawarma I’ve ever had. The beef was marinated in wine, slow-cooked, and served in a clay pot, which already sets the tone—deep, rich, almost stew-like tenderness with incredible flavor. Every bite was warm, savory, and perfectly seasoned, not greasy or rushed. What really made it special was the experience of building it yourself: freshly made bread, crisp herbs, bright tomatoes, pickled onions, and creamy sauce that tied everything together without overpowering the meat. Simple components, executed flawlessly. This ruined shawarma for me in the best way possible—I don’t think I can have it any other way now. Comforting, soulful, and unforgettable. Highly recommend.
