My husband brought me here today for the first time and our two daughters. He ordered 7 Mares and I ordered posole and my daughters ordered something else from the menu. As I continued to eat my posole I noticed a black hair in it. I know it wasn't mine because my hair is brown. I told and showed the waitress the hair in the bowl and she just looked at me and didn't say anything. You would of thought she would of got the manager but no such thing. We paid our bill in full no discount no apology for the disgusting hair in my food and definately no manager. They just wanted our money and that's it! I'm definately not coming back here to eat ever!!! My husband was so disappointed and disguised with what had happened but not as much as I was! Hopefully this never happens to anyone!

Authentic and delicious. Queso Fundido all the way!! So delicious and cheesy goodness! The Quesabirrias were big and filling. Very well made food. The Chile Verde was also quite tasty. Enough food with every plate. You will not leave here hungry. They have plenty of seating in this corner restaurant. Plenty of drinks to choose from, including aguas frescas and alcoholic beverages. Recommend the Agua de Jamaica.

The restaurant on the third floor that used to have mariachi shows is boarded up and closed. They been closed since the Covid shutdown. Everything else is open. There is still plenty of food and small booths selling leather goods, makeup, piñatas, traditional Mexican dresses and shirts, and lots more.

Service was good, flavor too. Ask for salsa and condiments as food not too seasoned.

1980 to today, I've eaten at so called Mexican food in countless stands, cafes, full size restaurants, tried it all located in 4 west coast states, and left them all disappointed ! The best Mexican food was in 1970's, when I lived in Granbury while stationed at Fort Hood Texas, There it was true Mexican, but then today I eat at Tacos 5 de Mayo in East LA, Ca. It was beyond delicious!!! The flavorsome meal brought tears of my good Old Texas Days.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the waitress was very rude, and this occurred when a family member raised a concern about their order. . The consommé was the greasiest dish I’ve ever seen, and my other family member became ill after trying their carnitas dish. Also, this place is expensive, when taking the poor customer service and food into consideration. Overall, we will not be returning to this restaurant, and I’m posting this review here so other people don’t have to go through the same experience.

It’s not beautiful but the food is as good as it gets. It’s not fast food so you’ll have to be a bit patient. It’s inside the mercado.
