My go-to place to get good cabeza, lengua,tripa and pastor in a taco or burrito.Bonus points for serving nopales on the side together with the pickled red onions with habanero, cilantro and lime. Variety of sauces that are self service.During the time of visit there was a horchata and pineapple drinks available.Cash and zelle payments are accepted.Park at the edge of the Japanese grocery store parking lot.This is way better than the taco stand on national and Sawtelle that lacked...
This is my local go to. I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years, dozens of times in that span. The staff is always friendly, and the food is amazing. I’ve taken so many people here, and they all want to come back whenever they’re in the area.I’m an Al pastor person, always - and theirs is stellar (you have to ask for pineapple, normally). The burrito is $10 (went up about 6 months ago) and it is huge. Their salsas are flavorful as well.
Okay, so I've gone here twice, and I absolutely love their AL Pastor burrito and tacos ? but their Carne asada just doesn't hit the way it should. It has a juicy tender texture, but the flavor isn't all there for me. The AL pastor is where it's at! This is the only taco stand that I know of that melts the cheese on the burrito and let's you add the salsa and onions and cilantro PRIOR to rolling it up for you! Burritos definitely have my heart and the salsa...
