These are the best tacos in Los Angeles and top 2 or 3 in the United States, it’s not even close. The difference in taste between every other taco I’ve had in LA is significant. Yes, it’s worth the drive if you’re outside of Downtown. They took me back to Tijuana and gave me a ratatouille moment. The smell of the tortillas got me immediately. I see why there's always a long line at this amazing taco spot. They make everything fresh and infront of your eyes. The quality of the homemade tortillas, meats, and salsas is top notch! Definitely have to try the Vampiros and tacos árabes. I tried four different meats and they were all amazing!
The are THE BEST tacos, hands down. Its kinda busy now bc everyone knows the spot, but they move fast. Tortillas hechas a mano, someone sells deserts in the same lot (crepes/mini pancakes). Parking can be a little wild, but we make it work. They have a free lot, its usually full, but you might get lucky. Otherwise, there's street parking along both sides of Avalon. Worth it.
