Ordered the taco de lengua. Loved that the quantity was huge. The taste itself was decent, although I preferred to add a bit of salt on top.

The Mog Champ sends his regards.
My spree of meals in the market continue with Tacos Tumbras! We ordered their all meat burritos with a Jamaica and Tamarindo. The portion and filling on them burritos is absolutely generous and delicious.
The service was quick and friendly, their drinks were also very refreshing. They're definitely worth it to stop by if you're in the area for a burrito! Thanks for the breakfast Tacos Tumbras!
Mogliest Regards,
Your Mog Champ

I was a little skeptical about the $5 taco but the meat portions are huge! They allow you to choose more than one meat, so youre in luck if you wanted to try more than one meat. Service is fast and friendly. Will try again!

Cheap and very nice food. I had quesadilla with rice and beans with a medium pepsi which was $16 (all included). It was more than enough for one person. The container was easy to seal and take with you. Great value, easy recommend!

The best thing about being jet lagged in DTLA is coming here for “breakfast” before the crowd arrives.
Amazing tacos, friendly service, low prices — my taco with avocado, which was actually three tacos’ worth of materials, cost the same as my cappuccino up the way.

Isn't the best Mexican food in LA but bang for your buck wise it's top tier. 1 of their tacos can make 3-4 tacos and you will be full if you order any more than 1. It's a great deal. Only downside is if you come at the wrong time there might be a line. But definitely worth hitting up.

Tacos Tumbras a Tomas at Grand Central Market might look like just another walk-up counter, but don’t be fooled—this is one of the most satisfying and downright legendary taco spots in Los Angeles. There’s nothing fancy about the setup: metal counter, handwritten signs, a fast-moving line, and giant trays of sizzling meat. But that’s part of the charm. This place isn’t here to impress you with aesthetics. It’s here to feed you really well.
Everything is cut fresh to order, piled high and unapologetically generous. Their carnitas are rich, tender, and perfectly seasoned—crispy edges, melty bits, and all. The al pastor is smoky and sweet, with just enough char to make each bite interesting. And the carne asada? Juicy, with a slight limey punch and a seared depth that shows up best when you go with tacos or the massive combo plates.
What really sets this place apart is not just the quality, but the abundance. A single taco here could pass for a full meal. Load it up with their bright salsas, fresh-cut onions, cilantro, and don’t forget the pickled jalapeños. The staff is fast, kind, and helpful, even when the crowd starts to stack up. This isn’t just good tacos—it’s the kind of bold, generous, no-frills street food that keeps LA’s reputation as a taco town fully intact.

ordered a taco — honestly the greatest deal in la. got the taco de surtida, which is a mix of two styles of carnitas and came with all the toppings you'd want. it came with five tortillas, enough to make multiple tacos between two people. not sure what others say about the salt packet — i didn’t need it. everything was fresh, flavorful, and made in a flash — a sight to behold, like a real live tiktok video. just incredible esp at five bucks for this generous portion. would go back many times.
Who doesn’t love a big taco loaded with meat? For $5 you get to choose what meat choice you want for your big taco. It comes with onion and cilantro, and the server was very kind to ask if we’d like that understanding that we are tourists.
Just note that the meat is very fatty and oily so it can get quite heavy.

I bought the Buche Taco and 1 serving is insanely massive. Like for $5 you get a big portion of the meat, extra soft taco, 2 servings of salsa (one mixed with the meat and another on the side). This is so worth it. I paid extra $2 for the cheese and avocado. And another $2 for the bottled water. This feels very authentic and very tasty and delicious. And the servers are very nice! A must visit in the Grand Central Market.

Very delicious meat. Long line so I know it’s good. Food displayed well. $5 tacos I was thinking was a bit high but they give you enough meat to make 4 tacos. The Cabeza and Birria were great. Toppings perfect with lemon and plenty napkins. You need the napkins because the tortillas are flimsy. So easily soggy and thin. An upgrade in shell will easily push them up to 5 star. Not many sides but I can get sides somewhere else. I couldn’t ignore that bad shell. See pic. I ate all the meat and was full for only $10. I just feel like they must’ve known that shell bad. Charge me .50 cent more with better shell. I would come back and recommend. The best looking tacos in the station.
