My new fav sushi spot in Brentwood! The spicy tuna crispy rice is so good and their miso soup has so much flavor. The best roll is the fire crunch, I highly reccomend you come and try!

We have been here a few times and the manager has never been friendly but we didn’t pay attention to that. However tonight they had missing items and the manager was extremely rude, got so upset it was shocking. We will never come back to this

Great dinner with authentic home style Japanese food. Private booths if you want seclusion or a romantic date night.

Taiko is our neighborhood go to. Service is really friendly and usually speedy - chill no frills restaurant. All the sushi rolls are great, vegan options are really fresh too. Get the agedashi and nasumisu for apps. Never fails us, we love you Taiko

Taiko is great. They have a huge menu and wonderful setting. Eating outdoors is great and you can look out over the street from their terrace while you eat. Staff are always beaming and friendly. It’s hard to beat for dine-in for what they charge on the menu.

Taiko is like that one loyal friend you have back at home, always there waiting for you to come back and visit. Whats crazy is that they've been in this same spot for almost 40 years which is super surprising considering how much change has come to this plaza. The lunch menu has something for everyone, and through the years I'm happy to report that the portion sizes are still super generous. You will most likely leave super full or with leftovers. The food I felt was pretty standard and nothing special, but the value makes up for the shortcomings. I also did want to note that our service was slower than normal on the day I dined. Not sure if it was due to the holiday or if it was because we came in an hour before the lunch service was ending but would love to update review next time.

4 stars is a perfectly appropriate rating in my opinion. The food here is good, nothing spectacular, and the menu is quite extensive, so you'll be able to find something you'll like. Servers were quick and polite, though we came during off-peak hours so the restaurant was half-empty. Prices are a bit high but if you come to Brentwood expecting bargain prices...yeah. The only major gripe is the parking situation, which is valet-only unless you park on the street (which is metered).

Came here for the first time for lunch and was not expecting to leave as full and satisfied as I did. The Tuesday Soba Lunch Special came with a generous sized salad dressed with the most refreshing dressing, then came the giant bowl of hot soba with the perfect amount of green onions to satisfy every bite and then came out the shrimp tempura roll that I couldn't even finish. And it probably didn't help that I ordered their $1 beer special too . The service was amazing with very attentive staff and I will definitely be coming back to try the cold soba!

This place is SO DOPE! Great aesthetic, cute tea mugs, beautiful presentation of the noodle dishes, and just packed with flavor too. Very fast service, super nice staff, and has a great variety that you'll just keep coming back to try more. One of two of my fav Japanese restaurants in LA. Highly recommend the hamachi kama (not on the menu) and cold soba noodles

I hate to leave negative reviews for restaurants but the food was awful. Almost no one at the restaurant and the pictures looked nothing like the food that was delivered. Edamame tasted strange, turns out it had butter in it... I would not recommend.
