I had the fish and chips from the pub menu. Now I'm not a big seafood eater but I do like it. Anyway, the cod was just a bit fishy in taste, but over all pretty good. The Old Fashions were the bomb. The night we were there was when they celebrated Robert Burns and his ode to haggis...a delightful evening.

Attended Robert Burns birthday celebration with my son and his friend. I finally sampled haggis! A wonderful job by all the performers. Thanks to all!

Robbie Burns Night was a complete success, led by the laureate, Dr. Neil McLeod, slaying the haggis and Cindi McIntosh piping the tunes! Auld Lang Syne, indeed!!

I always like the Experience of Burns Night but do have questions about the menu sent to me that was incorrect The Menu sent to me listed ROAST GOOSE which was not offered...My Guest was looking forward to that and was disappointed The Menu sent to me stated that I would receive the TAM O SHANTER CUT of Prime Rib but when I was there I was told it would be $15.00 more...Seems like a "Bait and Switch" to me Other than that, Everything was quite good...the staff was quite efficient and the entertainment was, as always, wonderful.

The Burns dinner was a lovely evening at the Tam. The issues we had were that the Pimms cup was different, which was a disappointment, and the sticky toffee pudding seemed overdone. But we enjoyed the presentations, seeing some friends there, and the prime rib dinner. It is always a pleasure to be at the Tam!

Great ambiance, excellent service, really good bread and prime rib! The only thing was, we had the Dine LA special and gave our order. The salad came out, then the main couse(prime rib) which was cooked to perfection then dessert. We left the restaurant after eating and realized we never got our appetizers. That was a bummer that I was kind of annoyed with. Everything was GREAT and would have given 5 starts accross the board but this was the reason for 4 stars overall. Would recommend to anyone looking for prime rib dinner!

The lunch menu is very limited if you want a light lunch. I thought our server was less than attentive.

I have been to this restaurant several times and last night was no exception. We decided to have the Walt Disney table 31 experience and it was phenomenal!

Love Tam's! However food when brought to the table were not hot, but luke warm. Haven't had this problem in the past.

Food was excellent as usual, but the service on this Saturday night was agonizingly slow. It seemed that every time the server left our table he didn't return for 15-20 minutes. Long wait to order, long wait for drinks, long wait for food, long wait for dessert, long wait for the bill. Our party was there for almost 3 hours! I don't mind that for a leisurely multi-course meal, but not for a plate of prime rib. I haven't been here for dinner in a long time so hopefully this was just an off night.

We had a lovely lunch at Tam O'Shanter, and everything we ordered was comforting and well-executed. The Scottish rarebit was rich and satisfying, with a perfect balance of cheese and toast. The burnt ends were tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of smokiness. Market vegetables were fresh and nicely prepared, providing a lighter counterpoint to the heartier dishes, and the mac and cheese was creamy, indulgent, and classic. The cocktails were wonderful—thoughtfully crafted, well-balanced, and a perfect complement to the meal. Combined with the restaurant's cozy, old-world atmosphere, it made for a relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable lunch.

Tam O'Shanter isn't just legendary for being one of Walt Disney's old haunts (they even have a plaque at his favorite booth). It's legendary for it's immersive atmosphere, which needs little imagination to understand Walt's fascination with the place. It takes its name from Robert Burns's 18th century poem telling the story of drunken farmer riding home from the pub. Tam stumbles upon a church of witches, warlocks, and the Devil playing bagpipes. They give chase until Tam crosses the River Doon, impassable for evil creatures, and escapes with his life.

The restaurant really leans into this Scottish tale with an old cottage feel with exposed beams, low lighting, and stained/bottle glass windows. There are paintings and portraits of British folk, framed tartan (plaid) pair with its clan name, long stemmed pipes and tankards, flags, crests, and all sorts of paraphernalia. There is even a painting of Tam O'Shanter himself.

The bar area has its own scaled down menu and has open seating. The restaurant proper requires reservations. The serves are fast and friendly across the board. The food is pricey but worth it (you'll likely need a to-go box). The drinks are tasty as well, but not too boozy. Over all, if you love British history & literature, good food, and drinks, Tam O'Shanter will charm your socks off.
