I have been purchasing Albertos Tamales for Christmas for as long as I can remember. I didnt realize that Celaya bakery (where I first started purchasing the a long time ago.them) purchased the Tamales from Albertos. When Celaya Bakerly in Echo Park closed , they Opened Albertos #2 in Douglas. I still rive from Chino Hills to LA for these Tamales. I have tried places closer and even the popular place in ELA but I can only recommend Albertos. I am not a big Tamale fan and Albertos...

As many reviewers have already pointed out, the tamales here are exceptional. I tried several different varieties and every one of them was excellent! Standouts include the pork with red sauce, the chicken mole and the chili and cheese...but they were all delicious! And, the person that took my order [perhaps, the owner and/or manager of this restaurant?] was very friendly and welcoming. I only tried the wonderful tamales at this establishment, so I can't wait to try some...

This afternoon was the first time I tried this tamale Mexican restaurant and I have to say that I fell in love with their freshly made chicken tamales I'm not sure if this is the same place everybody goes crazy for for the Christmas tamales but I'll definitely say I'll be coming back soon
