Everything about this place was great but the price. Went with a buddy, we ordered 4 entrees. Paid over $240 with tip. Stopped at Jack in the Box on my way home. Food was flavorful, but every entree felt like an appetizer. If you wanna spend money, feel like a baller, see atteactive people...great spot.

The ambience was perfect for a date night. Went on a Saturday so they had music playing which was nice and settled until the DJ came and it got a little loud but still able to have a conversation. I would definitely recommend going and returning back for another tasteful food and drinks.

Way to crowded. Was there for an event and there wasn't even enough chairs to seat everyone for dinner. Food was sub par and on the same level as a Dennys. Will never be a choice of mine to go to. What a let down. I hope the event planner complained as well.

Opentable had misleading information saying that their lucky hour on monday is till 22:30 which it is not.
TAO Los Angeles
The food was genuinely good. Flavours were on point, dishes came out well executed, and it definitely lived up to the hype on that front.
Unfortunately, the service let the experience down. Staff weren’t very attentive and we had to repeatedly ask for basic things like cutlery, and even remind them about an order we had already placed. It wasn’t busy enough to justify the level of oversight, which made it feel careless rather than overwhelmed.
TAO has great food and an amazing atmosphere, but the service needs to match the standard of the kitchen. With better attention to guests, it would be a much stronger experience overall.

Their busser Marvin was the best, very helpful and kept our table very clean and on point!🙏🏼I would recommend this place and service to anyone who's never been.
Tao is one of my favorites! The food is excellent and the staff/service is excellent! Will recommend 100%
The hostess that night was extremely rude, unpleasant and unhelpful. it looks could kill I certainly would be dead.
The moment we walked in, the vibe and ambience was impeccable. I loved it. My daughter and I are asian so we were in our element! The goddess of Mercy was looking over us. She stole the show😍 Food and drinks were amazing. Can't wait to go back!
The service at Tao Hollywood was excellent. Our server, Corey, was kind, helpful, and genuinely attentive throughout the evening, which made the experience feel welcoming and polished. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful—stunning ambiance and a great atmosphere for a night out. The food tasted great, but the portions were surprisingly small for the price point. I believe the menu would feel much more justifiable if items were priced about 10–20% lower. Overall, Tao is a gorgeous venue with top-tier service, and I'd say it may be better suited for cocktails and ambiance rather than a full dinner if you're hungry.

My husband and I invited out of town guests here for dinner on Tuesday night and had a great time. From the moment we walked in we received great service from staff. The ambiance is great here. A very unique and beautiful restaurant. The food was amazing. We loved everything we ordered and we ordered a lot. The cocktails were amazing as well. There were eight of us and we all rated it five stars.
This restaurant was incredible, from the ambience to the service and the food all A+. Would recommend to anyone. The sushi was especially good, so fresh, melts in your mouth!
Such an aesthetic restaurant — I absolutely loved how beautiful and inviting it is inside. Definitely a great spot for date night!
I came here for a company event, and they accommodated our group perfectly. We had a party of almost 18 people, which isn’t small by any means, but the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we walked in.
We ordered a ton of food to share around the table. There was honestly so much that I couldn’t even name everything! What I really appreciated was how they didn’t bring everything out all at once. The dishes came out little by little, which allowed us to truly savor each plate while enjoying great conversation and laughs.
I’m not a sushi girl at all, but that wasn’t an issue since they have plenty of other options. I ordered the steak, and wow — it was cooked to perfection, super tender, and literally melted in my mouth. I’d come back just for that dish alone.
For dessert, we ordered the large dessert platter that comes with six different desserts, and every single one was delicious. I tried them all, and each dessert was full of flavor.
Overall, such a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back — next time with my boyfriend for a date night! 💕🍽️

The atmosphere and the dj was great. The food however was so disappointing. The chicken gyoza were extremely salty. The vegetable fried rice was overtly cooked, dry, and crunchy in a way that it’s not supposed to be. The “crispy” orange chicken was some of the worst I’ve ever had. It wasn’t even crisp. Panda express makes better orange chicken. The chocolate Buddha was alright. We tried the Bali sunset mocktail which was good too. If you want to pay for a cool atmosphere/music/drinks then it’s cool but the food is not it, it’s disgusting especially for the price.
I loved every second of being in this restaurant! It's breathtaking as soon as you walk in and as you descend the stairs, it's just really lovely. The food was amazing and just a great atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back!
