Oxtail plate... I paid $42.00 for a kids meal. The plantain was extra cost which I purchased on the side. I took 3 bites of my rice & peas and it's almost done. The oxtail meat portion came in a small bowl (with 3/4 bones of meat, fat & potatoes). Definitely not worth the money or the drive. I have heard great things about this place and traveled far to taste it. Very sad about my experience tonight!

I love that Chef Bernard supports the community and makes some tasty food. I've been going for years and enjoy the jerk chicken and curry chicken patties. I'm happy for his success and expansion to Long Beach but unfortunately, the quality at the original location has suffered as a result. I can't make Dahlpuri to save my life so I'm happy to hand over my hard earned dollars for some. Until today. There was practically no daal in either of the rotis I bought. They were light and flavorless and I'm disappointed I drove through rush hour traffic to be let down. I understand businesses have to make money and pay their employees a fair wage but skimping on the daal and charging the same price doesn't sit right with me. Hopefully I caught them on a not so good Thursday and I'll return but if this is the quality I can expect then I'll have to brave the trip to Inglewood.

Had a fabulous experience here for a family dinner on holidays. Our server Cece was so sweet and smiley and took the time to answer all our questions and fulfil all our requests. Food was wonderful and unique to anything we had tried before and the furnishing adds to the vibe of the place. The red velvet cake was delicious after our meal. I wish I lived near by and could return again.

LITERALLY SO GOOD. Okay, so I went for the first time and was expecting decent food, but it I didn't realize I'd be cleaning my plate. It was so good that there was no leftovers. Fried plantains, the sea moss smoothie, Jamaican sodas, and Jerk Chicken were my flavorites. Our server was so nice and the service was excellent. Loved the vibe and overall ambiance. The open windows and decor were nice. Definitely coming back soon

So far the best Jamaican food in LA. Food is fire and flavorful. Jerk chicken was a bit spicy how I like it definitely no need to order extra jerk sauce unless u like extra heat lol. Chicken had a good smokey jerk flavor rice & peas cooked perfectly and flavorful. Cabbage was flavorful and cooked well.

I don't usually write reviews but, I've been in search of an authentic Caribbean restaurant and I'm so happy I found this one out of all the bad apples. I ordered the jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains and it was mind blowing amazing. Perfect blend of seasoning and cooked to perfection. The interior gave me an island vibe that I've been craving, customer service was great and the owner was really nice. I'm happy to have found a Caribbean restaurant that knows what they're doing in LA, and it's in a nice area. Definitely my # 1 place for authentic great tasting Caribbean food in LA.

You HAVE to get the oxtails. A lot of restaurants tend to overcook the oxtails and they turn out really dry, but the way they make it here is fatty, juicy, and so tender. I ordered it to-go and it held up really well on the way home. The person at the counter was nice too. I'll be coming straight to here the next time I'm craving Caribbean oxtails. Parking is relatively easy since it's in a strip mall with a wide parking lot.

This place is supposedly open until 4am, however when I arrived to the door of the establishment the employee ignored me at the door and wouldn't let me in. I waited in the car and later noticed she opened the door for a gentleman and his husky dog to enter the establishment. You can bet your bottom dollar I will never attempt to patron this establishment ever again.

Goooooodluck eating at this place. Annd the service matches the photo . People always talk bad about La Jamaican food and I see why. Get them outta here. Somebody call the ambulance. Don't give me a food credit shoot me a gas card on God I'm never going back.

For a late night dinner and something new, Taste of the Caribbean is a must!! While on vacation with my hubby we wanted to try something new and they didn't disappoint! Service was awesome and very helpful since we had never tried this kind of foods before. We started off with some spicy wings, then went in with some Jerk chicken. The taste was on point and amazing. I loved the rice and bean combo. Will definitely be coming back when in the area!

This restaurant was one of the worst experiences at Caribbean restaurant I ever had. The advertising is totally false. I ordered $100 worth of food and was given a terribly served fish for $36. Totally not worth it. I asked for no sauce on top the sauce was on top hardly no meat. I ordered the jerk pasta and was not given the asparagus at all. I had to wait for over 35 minutes for two asparagus when the advertisement literally shows 5 pieces or at least 4 pieces of asparagus on the picture, the cashier told me oh that’s just the picture for the plates here it just comes with two asparagus. That’s false advertisement. …T Time is valuable, and it was a big waste of my time!I would not recommend this restaurant to no one never. there was only two other customers no need to get treated badThe chef came out and tried to get me to keep the food and asked me oh why would I give a review to KFC or McDonald ? I don’t eat a KFC or McDonald’s . I literally came to a restaurant and spent $100 on three small plates of food. I had to even pay for extra side of planting because it didn’t come with a traditional Caribbean meal as it usually does at every other Caribbean restaurant.I gave a five dollar tip and I should’ve asked for the reimbursement for that too…
