What a disappointment. The food was not worth the price. Sometimes it was the portion sized (the bacon wrapped dates were the size of small olives) sometimes it was the food itself just being “nothing special”. Very very underwhelme.

The food here is INCREDIBLE! Their dishes are American family style so they recommend the table to get a few plates to share. We ordered 4 plates for 2 people and it was too much food but we really couldn’t decide when we’re ordering. They also validate parking which is nice to find in

TERRIFIC FOOD, SERVICE & AMBIENCEI’ve been two times to A.O.C. Brentwood, and each time both the food and the service were excellent, as well as the restaurant having great ambience. The dishes that stood out were the Spanish fried chicken, the cheese plate, the charcuterie board, the roasted almonds and the cauliflower. Oh, I almost forgot, the seared salmon was delicious as well. The first time I went with my spouse and son, and met two friends from school, and the second time was with two former work colleagues. It’s not cheap but the experience is well worth it.Vegetarian options: They have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes which were tasty.Parking: You can park in the parking lot and they validate but it still costs $8 if you are there for 2 hours.Kid-friendliness: Our son who is 13 had a great time there but I would not recommend it for children under 10.

We enjoyed a nice birthday lunch on a mellow Sunday afternoon during the LA Marathon, it was pretty light crowd. We ordered one burger which was very good, perfectly medium cooked. The fries are ok, barely warm. We also ordered 2 of the Stout brisket mash with fried potatoes. This is a very fatty dish, more fat than meat. My friends had more meat than mine. The soft poached egg runs into the fatty sauce making it less appealing to eat. The potatoes, spinach, and onions were good. I would not recommend this dish, also has too much salt. Service was nice. I'm very put off by their default 6% extra service charge for employee health. The plandemic is long over, most restaurants don't add this tax, and for an expensive place to charge this seems very tacky. You can ask them not to charge it but that's more hassle, so I just deduct 6% off my tip. I don't expect to return. Dinner menu is better in my experience. The pistachio dessert was ok, a little sweet.

Horrible service. They forgot our appetizer - didn’t course the meal properly and forgot 2 dishes after. When I talked to the manager she told us that she was sorry they didn’t explain us this is how the restaurant runs - took zero accountability and kept making excuses for her team instead of handling the issue.

Stellar location, great food, amazing atmosphere. If you visit, I highly recommend choosing one of the tables outside. As a midwest resident and frequent Brentwood/Malibu visitor, this is one of my favourite places to catch a bite and watch the impeccable vintage sports cars that saunter by. People in this particular neighborhood have exceptional taste and it makes for a lovely back drop. 10/10 would recommend.

Been a big fan since the early days of AOC in its first mid-city location. If you're in search of seriously delicious dishes that play homage to the best of So Cal's bounty in a great space this is your spot. Never disappoints!

Food was meh, for the price. Overcooked, and steak very small portion for hanger steak . All food was brought out except the steak which took 15 more minutes after the other meals. so our food was all cold by the time we all were served. We liked the seating and the ambience was nice. Also note. All dishes come Ala carte, so if you want a veggie or anything that's extra. Not good value and nickel and dimeing. Enjoyed the atmosphere.

Staff was friendly, helpful and attuned. Food was and drink were yummy. We were seated in the bar and it worked for us as we didn't have a lot of time but I'd recommend getting seating in the main dining area for better ambiance. We will definitely return to this restaurant. Highlight was staff. Accommodating, very friendly and warm.

Delicious food and good service. Highly recommend the Molcajete beverage. The small plates were well portioned and delivered at nice intervals. Roasted vegetables on the Farmers plate w hummus were scrumptious. Oxtail was savory and unctuous. Chicory salad was also very tasty. Oven roasted chicken came w a nice portion of veg and half order was plenty for four to pick apart. All in all a successful meal enjoyed by all. Thanks and cheers!

Based on this experience, we certainly prefer AOC on 3rd. During Sunday brunch the noise level was unpleasant, server terse, and service slow. We enjoyed our food, and of course the wine was excellent. But taking the whole experience into account, including pricing which had a 6% surcharge for employee health care, AOC Brentwood felt like poor value. We are experienced foodies and full supporters of proper pay and benefits for servers, but it's hard to stomach a continuing spiral of higher prices, lower quality, add ons and over-the-top tipping expectations. AOC Brentwood has moved way down on our list.

Many years ago was one of our favorite places. Now it seemed tired & not very good. Salads still taste good as did the clams. The vegetables not so. The duck breast was all of 4 slices and a huge plate of lettuces. Waiter needs to retire.

There were 4 of us and none of us had been to AOC before. We ordered several items to start and share to be followed by main courses for each of us. Unfortunately, they only do shares and they were brought out as they were ready, one or two at a time. Fortunately, they all ranged from Very Good to Excellent. Also, our server was personable and knowledgeable. So a great time was had by all! By the way, they have quite a wine list.
