Even for someone like me, born and raised in Japan, such an expensive bento is quite unheard of.However, this time, fueled by my husband's remarkable curiosity, we ventured to try this American-style sashimi bento.Having sampled Japanese cuisine all over the United States, the experience at Te Isshoki became one of the highlights of Japanese food in America. Beautiful people, beautiful food!The exquisite Sashimi Bento provided a dining experience reminiscent of a Michelin-starred establishment. The impeccable presentation and quality of the dishes made a lasting impression, leaving us eagerly anticipating our next visit to relish these exquisite flavors once more.I highly recommend the tuna bento; although my husband isn't typically a fan of tuna in the US, he changed his mind after trying mine and declared that he will choose tuna over salmon next time!The setting, the food, the people - everything was beautifully brought together, creating a memorable dining experience that transcended mere food appreciation.

Wow. I saw the reviews here and thought, really? A place that has nothing but 5 star reviews? Can it really be that good? The short answer is a resounding YES! Friendly and helpful woman at the counter and tonight, the chef showed me the Toro he had. Just fantastic. They also threw in a free miso soup with fantastic mushrooms. It is takeout only if that isn't clear. But yes. Order it and take it anywhere. You won't be disappointed.

This place is AMAZING. I got the "Signature Box" with Yellowtail, and it is such a satisfying meal. It came with an assortment of japanese pickles, some egg, salad, and even the rice was delish. This is a window-service only spot, but there are plenty of places to eat outside nearby. The service was also really great and the lady who took our order was incredibly kind and helpful. Can't wait to come back.

My sister and I were visiting LA for the first time and found this hole in the wall place near where we were staying. I cannot say how SATISFYING the food was! The roll was so loaded with salmon and the sauce, wasabi, and ginger were all very generous! I was able to easily order online to do pick up and got a text that it finished right on time.The staff are also so sweet and accommodating as they had seen my sister and I walk up to the booth together and gave us extra utensils and talked about their sauce for the salmon futomaki.Just to note that it isn’t dine in, but there is a park nearby to enjoy the great food!

I really enjoyed the food and the experience here!! Much better food service and atmosphere than sit down sushi I had in downtown Burbank yesterday. I didn’t realize it was take out only when I arrived, but I decided to roll with it. Lisa, who took my order, is super friendly and promised a nice area to eat in the garden area above and it delivered! It helps it is a nice day, but there are a bunch of tables under a solid canopy structure if it rains. Fountains, green grass, trees. Very nice calming area. They claim half pound protein in the salmon fat roll box and I believe it. Chef tay said the salmon was good and used salmon belly..delicious! They said to try their green sauce as an alternative to soy sauce and it was very tasty! They are trying hard here and doing a great job in my view.Dietary restrictions: They don’t pre make anything, and asked a lot of questions if I needed carb free or other preferences. I would trust them.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of room for kids to be kids in a non-disruptive area.

initially, i thought that the prices looked a little steep to spend on lunch, but after deciding to give it a shot, i realized that it is SO worth it and affordable for the quality and portions you're getting. the five stars on yelp is well deserved. i got the fatty tuna futomaki, and the chef said that it was otoro that day. the otoro was fresh and melt in your mouth good, and the portions are so generous that i couldn't finish it in one sitting. the iced green tea is a classic japanese unsweetened matcha green tea and went perfectly with my lunch. the people working are so kind and generous, and i am so happy i decided to give this place a chance. ill definitely add it to my weekly lunch rotation now and bring other people along! i highly highly recommend for anyone in the area, especially for those looking to switch it up from the typical mendocino/sweetgreen/chipotle options in the area.

I got the vegan futomaki and my husband had the albacore. It was my favorite vegan sushi I've ever had. Everything was so fresh and the presentation was beautiful. My husband loved the albacore too. He said you could tell the fish was very fresh. The service was very friendly. I can't wait to go back again and try more of the menu.
