After trying so many sushi places, this is hands down the best I’ve ever had. 🍣Everything was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming. There was a long wait, but it was definitely worth it.
I highly recommend this place and will definitely visit again on my next trip to LA.
There are so many delicious restaurants to choose from in Little Tokyo so it was hard to pick a sushi spot for us. We were glad that we found Tenno during our search! Seems like a popular spot with very friendly staff, awesome aesthetics with beautiful interior decor, and delicious sushi. We were there for a quick lunch so got an appetizer and two rolls to share. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was awesome. The crispy rice was softer and less crunchy that what I usually get and this was a good thing! Easy to bite into and worked so well with the spicy tuna on top. I highly recommend the Baked Salmon roll and the Bluefin Dream roll. The Bluefin Dream roll was different from what we usually get at sushi places so it was great to try. It was bluefin tuna on top of a shrimp tempura roll with daikon, crabstick, ooba, and cucumber with a ponzu sauce. Absolutely delicious!
Now for my standard comments. The location is clean and well kept. Comfortable indoor seating.

This spot is my absolute favorite sushi spot near the Arts District/ DTLA. Always amazing service and great food. The staff is always so nice and attentive and the vibes are very chill. Must come during happy hour!

The guy at the front desk asked how may I help you when I walked in at 11:12 then when I started to order he told me I couldn’t place an order and laughed as I left. I’ve been to this place about 10 times probably spent about $800 and I won’t ever come back. There’s plenty of other sushi places. Denying service in this economy is not good business bye Tenno.

It seems like the tall, bespectacled person who greets guests at the door needs more training. It offends the guest.

The food was very stale, the service was terrible, and the food was bad; I won't go there again.

Service isn't very friendly for such a slow day. There was a feeling of entitlement for staff instead of providing great service. The poor service is why the 1 star review. We took our business elsewhere.

Food is good but.. I've gotten pretty rude host the last few time. this time around I just left..it wouldn't kill them to be nicer
This is one of my favorite sushi spots. Pinto box with Mexicali and crazy roll is my to go to. We have tried a lot of different stuff, all was great
Great service; been there 3 times since I’ve found it less than a month ago

I lived in LA for a long time, but this time I came here upon a friend’s invitation. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly and polite. Unfortunately, the only accident of the night was caused by me — I didn’t see the server and accidentally bumped into their hand. My sincere apologies.
