Jumped in for the first time to catch up with a friend over beers and Thai food and guess what, I had a great first time! Ordered the Pad See Ew and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! Literally didn't want to carry on any conversation once I had the first bite untill I finished the whole plate...it was that GOOD! Otherwise, staff is friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is a perfect dive bar setting: small, intimate, chill, nice tunes and not too loud = max vibes! Definitely a neighbor favorite for me!!

My husband And I found Thai Angel while visiting Los Angeles from Sacramento. We were looking for quick Thai food and found a gem. Great food and service and an overall chill vibe. We came on a Wednesday night and walked right in to Karaoke! The crab friend rice was delicious and they have cute merch. We will be back!

I went there on June 01, 2025 after we had a balloon release gathering for one of the best friend Cali had to offer Me, I was sad and wanted to continue to celebrate his life, so I took myself and his spirit here and the vibe was awesome and the food was delish! I didn't order any drinks because I was already lit and had to drive back home but they do offer drinks at the bar.

Chillest place for a bottle beer and amazing Thai food. This place is skinny and small. One side booths the other side bar. Wouldn’t bring a party over 4/5 unless you wanna squeeze tight in the booths or split up. Great place for coming alone!
Music is really great and a good volume and the tvs aren’t playing sports (big plus for me) lights get adjusted throughout the day and super groovy/romantic. Great place for a date night or to mingle with some friends!
You can sit any where basically. Both the bar and booths are welcoming and comfy. If it is busy, order at the bar.
1 cook 4 bar tenders total but slow days 1 cook 1/2 bar tender. Always amazing food and service.
As per my other reviews at bars im a beer boy my fiancé is a cocktail angel. Lil sad they only have bottle beer and no draft HOWEVER they have a cocktail called soi cowboy that let me forget that pain. Basically a spiked Thai tea. Absolutely AMAZING.
I have ordered a pad see ew, drunken noodles, fried tofu, wings, their soups ALL are a winner.
Portions are pretty good for the price. I don’t eat meat so the fried tofu isn’t extra which is nice.
Pad See Ew 💣 crispy! saucey! flavorful! This is top dog, was very very delicious!
Pad Kee Mao was really fresh with a lil kick of spice. I really enjoyed this dish but I would say (noodle wise) their pad see ew was more of their thang
Fries tofu was super tasty and fresh and love it as an appetizer
Love coming here and i recommend this place to my loved ones!

Cool little dive bar. I’ll definitely come back. I did pay $14 for four of the worst egg rolls I’ve ever had in my life, but I should have known what to expect.

Was kinda awkward at first when we walked in. I don’t mind not being greeted but the bar tenders just stared at us as we walked all the way down the hall 😭 you can sit any where basically. If it is busy, order at the bar.

As per my other reviews at bars im a beer boy my fiancé is a cocktail angel. Was a little disappointed cause ALL their beer is bottled and for 8$. Big let down HOWEVER they have a cocktail called soi cowboy that let me forget that pain. Basically a spiked Thai tea. Absolutely AMAZING.

Rice was a decent size but pricy in my opinion.
I will be coming back and will be recommending this place to my loved ones!
Vegetarian options: You can get anything with tofu! But since nothing is labeled as vegetarian or vegan I would keep in mind that it has fish oils and egg. If that’s oki with you the fried tofu is amazing!
Dietary restrictions: Many items are made with fish oils or have egg. Small kitchen so would ask ahead of time before ordering
Parking: It’s ktown so it’s best to be dropped off or to take a car. Thankfully when we went there was street parking it I wouldn’t say that’s the case all the time
Kid-friendliness: Bar first restaurant second. Not for kids
Wheelchair accessibility: Everything is ground level, however it’s mostly booths and the bar. I saw that there was tables on the side, but wasn’t being used for restaurant wise. Could have just been since we came in on a non-busy day. However, I believe if you called in, they would make a table accessible. Tight squeeze to get to the restroom. And the restroom is pretty small.

My friends took me to Thai Angel for the first time after the hardest day of my life. It was pretty late and the place was packed, the DJ was great however the vibe wasnt really my type of bar, but I just needed a distraction from the pain. Even with the chaos, the staff was kind, and the drinks helped take the edge off.
After a few drinks and some dancing, I realized I had lost my wallet with precious photos of my son that recently passed away inside. Panic set in and I was searching everywhere and couldn't find it until an asian security with long hair who was at the door noticed and asked if I was missing something and without hesitation, he helped look and found it !
To that security if you ever see this I wanted to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Your kindness meant more than you know and we need more people like you in restaurants, bars and in life.
