It's one of the better Thai places here. Food was a little too sweet for us, but good otherwise.

Honestly… every single thing we ordered was pretty badly made even for the low standards of Eagle Rock Thai food. We ordered beef pad see ew, pineapple fried rice, and tom kha kai. For 3 dinner entrees, out the door at $57 inc. tax and tip.

Each one was poorly prepared in the way a home cook new to cooking might make it. Starting with pad see ew, the noodles were stale and poorly tossed so we got fat clumps of uncooked noodles and not a single noodle was longer than an inch. For $18, you would expect there to be more than 4 pieces of meat. You would be wrong.

The pineapple fried rice was also clumpy with big balls of unmixed and unseasoned gummy white rice. The whole thing was overcooked and then for some strange reason, they out pre-ground black pepper over the top so it looked and tasted like someone put tasteless dirt for garnish.

Lastly, tom kha was actually pretty good. Room temperature but properly spiced. Again, you’re looking at $18-$19 at this so for a pick up order, you’re paying DoorDash prices for DoorDash quality.

This was a memorably bad meal and I regret going here.

My new favorite spot. Very welcoming environment, & the owner P'Nancy is just a doll. She really takes the time out to introduce herself to new faces and is always big smiles.

Great Panang Curry and Spicy Eggplant. Very good fresh rolls. Weirdly the rice was very pedestrian. Definitely recommend.

The restuarant advertise weekly special, posting it on every corner. We sat down and ordered Pad See Ew chicken on Tuesday, since the signs are so prominent and pretty much on every corner of the restaurant, we didn’t mention the word “Special”. There were no question asked whether we want regular or special…The bill charged $14.95 instead of $10. They refused to adjust the price because we didn’t mention “special”; I guess we need to be vigilant next time…. I want to support the run down Thai place but Sticky Rice on York has way better Pad See Ew for this kind of price…

This week 01/22/2024 Thai Coconut started a new lunch special Mon~Thu 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM for $10 + tax. It was very good and included small salad. You can have with Chicken or Tofu, each day is different. Monday = Pad Thai, Tuesday = Pad See Eu, Wednesday = Chao Mein and Thursday = Ka Prao over Rice.

Parking: The parking is easy to access with wider then usual (compact car) spaces we see all over now.

Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to ener from parking lot. My brother takes access paratransit to this place.

This place was seriously gross. Easily the worst Thai food we have ever had. There wasn't a single dish that didn't disappoint: the pad thai was flavorless and overcooked, the fried rice was burnt, and the Thai iced tea with boba was watery and disgusting. Even items that are always trustworthy - like egg rolls and orange chicken - were bland and boring. You can get better Thai from the frozen isle at Costco. Save your money and make a better choice.
