Great place for weekend brunch with open seating and free parking lot! The food was delicious, the back patio was sunny and the coffee was strong. We will definitely be coming back to try all the other menu items.

Thank You For Coming was a huge part of how my husband and I bonded back when we were dating! Laura, Cynthia, and Jonathan are the sweetest human beings, and they create such a warm atmosphere at the restaurant. Atwater is a small neighborhood, and it's so cute that they get to know their clientele well. They've even met both of our families, and they supplied the wine for our wedding earlier this year! The food, of course, is also awesome. The grilled cheese is a longtime favorite, and the Shakshuka is the best in town (even with the nearby Mediterranean restaurants). Thank You Foe Coming also has one of the very few avocado toast entrees that I will say is worth the money. The homemade chili oil and other fixin's do wonders.

Just at the edge of Atwater village and Glendale, where Glendale boulevard dips under the train tracks flanked by a voluminous Bougainville lies the unassuming Thank You For Coming. With its small menu of California morning staples like fresh juice, toasts and a delicious turmeric congee/jook/porridge, this humble market brings the chill back to brunch. During Covid, you eat in the little backyard, adorned with misters and umbrellas, which feels like a comfy apartment courtyard. Although you order at the door, their waitstaff will take great care of you if you need to annex an iced coffee to your ricotta toast. The star of the meal is their bread; a round whole wheat sourdough full of those large cavities and perfect moistness that bakers tell legends about. French toast with jam was a carefree delight; although just two THICK pieces, the orange peach jam and whip created a tasty sugar lagoon which I utilized soften each bite of that star bread. Summer salad was light and illuminated the table in violet radish and chlorophyll green. They have tight hours and a small seating area, so it's no guarantee of a table, but when you do you won't want to leave. Great vibes are doubled by great food, and you can leave with that bread double wrapped in brown paper under your arm to relive the meal the next day.

The people working there were very nice, the atmosphere was quaint and cute, and the food came out quickly. The food, however, is the reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars. To be blunt it's bland and unsatisfying. The menemen (shakshuka) tasted like eggs in slightly acidic ketchup; there was no bite, no spice, no flavor that told my palette I was eating menemen. The yogurt they used in their eggs and yogurt dish was fresh and sour, but that was pretty much the only flavor in that dish. The yogurt wasn't over powering - because, well, it's just yogurt - but somehow the taste of the poached eggs was lost. The bread was good, the juice was fresh, and the side of potatoes was decent, but despite it all I wasn't full. To clarify that, I don't mean to say I wasn't stuffed because that's not the point of brunch/lunch. I just wasn't satisfied, and ended up going somewhere else to eat afterwards because I was still hungry. In short the portions were WAY too small for the price they asked. To reiterate: the people are friendly, the places itself is nice, but the food is sparse in both taste and portion - especially for how much they charged.

I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I have to say the customer service is always fantastic and they keep the spot well organized all the time. Rates are reasonable and they serve big portions.
