I don’t care if it is a Saturday night. One server on the patio is criminal. Shouldn’t take over an hour to order one drink…

I love this place. Especially going to karaoke on Sundays. Jeremy, Chris, Bodie, the whole gang is great.

Also get the Crunchwrap. Just do it.

The Bel is now my go to spot for celebrations. Jeremy & Maria are incredibly hospitable and took great care of me and my friends for a birthday! They squeezed us in super last minute at a table and we had an amazing time! Can’t wait to go back and try more of the food, kitchen, bar & vibes we’re 10/10

As of the 14th of December 2025, I, a negroid individual in question, ventured into saI’d establishment, the Belmont, seeking to briefly catch a game (NFL). I stepped in, smelt the immensely hot french fries across the bar counter, glanced at it, and was then immediately hooked.

The lady attendant was busy, when I tried to speak, so I kept quiet, cool. I then requested to the man attendant by saying “excuse me, are you available“ in verbatim, and was ignored in verbatim back, so to speak. I then went closer to the counter next to the door and said excuse me once more, only to be ignored a second time by the male attendant. Not cool.

Regardless, I went back to my original starting position and then waited. As said male staff came closer to me, I then said excuse me for the third time. Said person‘s condescending response was “why am I yelling excuse me over the counter“. I responded in verbatim “that since when is excuse me a wrong/ bad word”. Mehn, this guy gets to my nerves eventually, big time, as he decides to have a back and forth with me, most likely trying to impress his colleagues or the other guests.

My man, was definitely barking up the wrong tree.

IN SUMMARY:

1) Firstly, he was extremely rude, and messed up the whole ambiance, as I called him a racist, because he definitely was / is. How so ? Because no other person there was treated that way but me, at least there and then.

2) Furthermore, the female staff then comes along and I try and order from her. As she tries to get my phone to pay, said racist who was claiming he’s not (very stereotypical) then says I should leave, that I won’t be served due to spite with him losing the back and forth argument. Thats the first justification of him being racist - my money isnt good enough for him/ me being black is an abomindation to the eyes of his white folks and that’s why he then tells me to leave.

3) Furthermore, once I leave, and I have this on good authority, he then decides to buy all the black folks in there an alcoholic shot - only to justify his racist guilt - which becomes his second justification.

In summary , I’m never ever going back there, and wished I had called the police there and then based on racial harassment. As we speak, I’m currently looking for a civil rights body to have a discussion on what went down there.

We celebrated my birthday there last night and the space, the staff, and the food and drinks were all top notch! Laura, our server was so attentive and everyone there was so well taken care of. I wouldn’t hesitate to have another get together there, they were so easy to coordinate with.

I’m sure this will be denied like all other negative reviews they’ve gotten.. my friend and I came for drinks and I opened a bar tab. We went outside to sit and chat and came back inside to get another drink. At that point there was a new bartender and he quickly refused service, didn’t even entertain what we were saying and barely made eye contact. We were told to “order outside” and “ask your waiter”.. the person who approached the bar right beside us wasn’t dismissed. My friend and I are black, and the other person was not. I left to the restroom and came back out to ask my friend if the bartender seemed extremely rude and dismissive to us for no reason and she agreed that he was. I was completely turned off by the exchange and his lack of service and care so I went back to the bar and asked to close my tab to which he also refused. “I’m not your bartender” “i can’t help you” and so many other statements with a smug look, denying service for no good reason when the bar was dead and no one else was waiting. The bartender spoke in such a stale tone, and his whole demeanor couldn’t have stated any louder that it was clearly a race issue. The three people seated at the bar, kept staring at him, wondering why he was refusing to close my tab and give me my card back. I never yelled nor argued I simply asked why I couldn’t be serviced and he still never approached my side of the bar and refused from a distance. He kept pointing and telling me to go outside and ask a server yet my tab was at the bar. No one else in the place had an issue aside from my friend and I. The bartender spoke to us like we were so insignificant and a waste of his effort to make a drink or close a tab. that coupled with his body language, tone, and attitude made it clear that he had no desire to service us, and the previous bartender tried to make up for it, quickly trying to get us taken care of because she could see what was happening. Supposedly Belmont is minority owned, but their employee has such a low regard for minorities it’s kind of hard to believe. If you are black, then you know exactly when you’re being discriminated against and why. There are subtle tones, shifts in energy and body language, etc. This bartender was approached by my coworker about the situation and his first claim was that I was disrespectful and had an attitude with him.
Of course, he equated me to the stereotypical black female, which is the whole reason why I didn’t react to his disrespect in the first place. It’s been a long time since something like this has happened to me and it’s sad to know that this is what our world still is. Deny it all you want Belmont. Your bartender is racist.

This place has been a go-to for my coworkers and me because it’s near our workplace. But it’s never had great drinks, service nor any atmosphere! Then today, we had a racist incident with two of my coworkers from a manager and a service member. One of us got involved (someone who was white) and they basically tried to tell off that person too but in this case at that showed they truly don’t care about people—soooo messed up. Don’t go here!!!
